Learn how to stabilize. This is my favorite tutorial for this:
My Tutorial for extending Lucid Dream Time. Hours of LD. - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

Learn how to DEILD. The basics for a basic DEILD is waking up after an LD (seems easier to do after WILD) and laying still. Just reverse the last thing you did and go back to the previous dream.

RC after each awakening so that you can catch false awakenings.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

It's very important that you get used to do one or two RCs EVERYTIME you wake up, specially if you have FA from time to time.

When it happened to me 2-3 times in a few days, and after reading some guides here and there, I started doing RCs everytime I woke up, both in the middle of the night and also in the morning. One night I woke up constantly, something like 1am... 1.30am... 2am... 3am... and every time I looked at my hands in the darkness and then tried to put my index finger through the other hand. One of those times my hands looked like blurry, and the RC succeded. Anyway the dream was very unstable and I woke up just after standing up.

Stabilyzing the dream is also important. I still can't do it, and some days ago I had a DILD where I tried the things I read in the guides in this site (take a look at them), and it helped, but anyway I was like drugged... I felt like falling to the floor, my vision fading away... I tried touching things, holding something, etc... and even if I managed to hold it for a few more seconds, I finally woke up.

Keep trying, and you'll get to it. The main thing is to remain calm and don't get excited. My first wish was always to try entering my neighbour's house (a nice blonde), but I decided to leave that for later. Next time I go lucid, I'll just explore my surroundings calmly, and maybe try some things that don't require too much effort.

      Good luck.
