      Flying.........

Ok now this might seem a little weird....
but I think about flying alot......
      More then usual!!!!
some part of me thinks that flying is actually real!!!
Like u are able to do this in real life,,, ofcourse I know its not true,,, but I want to
      Believe it soo BAD!!!
So When I am dreaming,, i just think
"Yes yes,, I knew it was possible"
and I never come to the realization that... ya kno its not real,, and just a dream.

I am starting to just keep quoting myself,,,
      "Is this real"
LIke if I see something ,, in real life
      "Is this Real"
so when I do have a dream,,, I will be in that habbit to ask a question,,, "Is This real"
Ofcourse I have gotten better at beliving FLying is not real......
but I have had COUNTLESS AMOUNTS of FLying Dreams all the time,,,
      And I rember them!!!!

any way I can come to the realization in my dreams???

Honestly, you have got to stop thinking of your dreams as NOT being Real. Subjective Content IS real within the confines of its own points of reference.

You do know, of course, that there are dreamers out there who CAN'T fly. It is an acquired skill... perhaps even a reward for having achieved a certain level of Spiritual Consciousness. And then you go on and on about how it isn't real.

Yes, all the time in dreams, it is a thought that occurs to me that 'I have finally found a way to fly in waking life'. Using your terms, I think my flying is 'real'. But then we need to examine this in context of the Dream. To Fly in a Dream in which one thinks it is Real Life... what does this indicate? This indicates a certain mastery and transcendence with things of the Waking Life. Such a dream is a good thing.

Also, we can go back not far in History and find that there were a number of Saints who 'really' could levitate... not just a few feet hoovering over the ground, but shoot back and forth across the sky 'like arrows'. Perhaps Dream Flying is a prelude to the Acquisition of such Real Powers of Levitation, and the thoughts that Levitating is REAL are conducive to the actual development of what Yogins call the Siddhi -- the Power of Levitating. Convincing yourself that you Dream Flying is UNREAL, for the limited utility of inducing Lucidity, might do irreparable harm to the process.

      hmm I see....
It never acquired to me that it actually might be real......
      but I doubt it
I just thought thinking of that,,, will help me realize more that its just a dream,, and that I can control it.......
like my destination to fly,, ,might try a couple of Arial Acrobatics.......
but I never knew some ppl couldnt have dreams with the ability to fly...
so I do have a talent!!!!
      Awesome

Please don't think I am "going off on another one", but I find the idea of One's own subjectivity quite interesting. I believe this could be related to my 'Eternal Lucid Dream Question". I mean how long could we survive in our own 'subjective reality' beit dream based or reality based. Basically, How long long could we survive without other people. Would it come to the stage perhaps were we started to "Invent" people. Ok.........Imagine you were lost on a desert island for years with no-one else but you. (Painted Faces on Coconuts Perhaps).

      YungTOwn,
You have found one of the best ways to keep having lucid dreams. Asking yourself "is this real" or "am I dreaming" throughout the day is one of the things I found most helpfull for becoming lucid. I ask myself if I'm dreaming or not atleast 15 times a day, and so I also usually end up asking myself atleast once in my dreams every night. It works really well for me and alot of others.

As for the flying being real or not... I can't really say. What I can say is that the seeming "reality" of our dreamworlds has really made me question the "reality" that I live in while I'm awake. I mean, this whole life could easily be some type of dream and we wouldn't even know it. And if it is all an illusion... What things might we be able to learn how to do.
