      Well, there are really many ways to go about summoning a DC. But really the only thing that matters is what you would expect to work. For instance, a lot of people use spells with decent success in their dreams, because they feel like the spells should work, since, it is a dream after all. Now, the technique it sounds like you are using is the passive technique where you essentially just expect a DC to show up after you turn a corner or however else you decide to do it. The problem with this is, just because you consciously expect the DC to appear, doesn't mean that it actually will. Because underneath the level of being conscious, you still likely have some subconscious nagging saying that, it won't work, especially if the technique has failed in the past. Normally I would advocate passive control, but I'd say, in this situation, a bit of forced control wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. So, I'd advise a more direct method of summoning to increase the margin for success. Like I mentioned earlier, spells are a good way, well, if you're into that kind of thing, not everyone is. Or, a way that I myself have had great success with, you could try calling out the DC's name, if it's a recurring character, and then it should shout back to you and then you two meet. Hmm, I actually can't really think of that many forced summons for a DC off the top of my head. You could always come up with your own I suppose. So, if you did want to still use passive control, a way that essentially always works for me is to open a door and expect them to be behind it. But, anyways I feel like I'm getting kind of distracted so, yea that's all, any questions just ask.

      Another good method IMO is to walk to a place where you expect the character to appear.
      For example, if you want to visit a secret crush and your dream starts in your own home, try going to that crush's house.

      I am using my cell-phone right now and I hate typing text on it;
      I will write more later.

      We have a great thread at the moment on ways to summon: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...ay-summon.html

      What I personally did up to now was convincing myself, that somebody was just around the corner - somewhere out of sight - and it mostly worked.
      But after reading about pretend-remembering - I used that to conjoure up a whole darting-room behind a door.
      What I did was make a short pause - and thought - yeah - they have a darting room there, I know that - I have seen it.
      And then picturing a false memory - sure enough - all was there, when I opened the door - just like I pictured it.
      I found this more powerful than summoning objects out of sight with just expecting them very much.
      Didn't do it on a DC yet - but check that thread - this method is also mentioned there and much more.
      Good luck!
