Having trouble when trying to control dreams.

So i have been having lots of lucid dreams these past few few days and 1 thing seems to bother me...Lack of control.
Whenever i get lucid i look around and observe then i almost always start summoning DC, thats my favorite thing to do in LD .However when i do try to summon something it doesnt always work sometimes works half way sometimes they get summoned in different locations etc. And almost every time i have a random DC chasing me around trying to kill me and its really annoying i cant focus much when trying to make him go away, i think its because i get lucid during nightmares or something im not sure.
Any tips are would be nice ty.

same thing happens to me sometimes. i say "so and so will be around this corner" and they arent there, i think its a mental block problem and the rules of reality still affecting me in my dreams, and possibly the same with you. I guess the only advice i can give you is what im currently doing, which is working to remove this mental block

As for the killer DC, you could try to shoot an invisible power ray out of your hand (either one) and blast the sucker to smithereens. Have faith in your self; you can do it!
So ... is this the real universe, or is it just a preliminary study?

I think you need to address the nightmare first. If you can develop a sense of calm first, then you can start to have some control. That might mean confronting the conflict of the nightmare or just ignoring it. Another thing that works for me with nightmares is, when I become lucid, I 'will' myself to wake up but then immediately DEILD back into dreaming. For me, this resets the scene and changes the nightmare into a more neutral dream that I can control. The important thing is to remember and recognize that this is a nightmare but it's not real and I can change it through will and practice.
I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.

I've had similar issues in my previous dreams, but found a way I got over it. I kept finding myself in scary situations, or being attacked by some creature... As I thought about these I noticed some interesting correlations, when I gave them thought, the issue would be magnified. One recent example of mine:
Eventually he goes in a door that looked ominous and I was scared to go in.
As I get scared, things start happening. It gets a bit darker, the door behind me slams shut and I can't open it, and I start hearing creepy noises. I start to panic, but catch myself. I say out loud, "this is a dream, nothing can hurt me or scare me, and I am in control."
Immediately it brightens up and I can open the door again...
Simply confronting it here and reaffirming I was dreaming helped me out.

One thing to try when you get attacked next: just let it happen. You're in a dream so you can't be hurt. This will hopefully confuse the DC and give you the opportunity to ask why they are attacking you. If you can smoothly reach a valid conclusion to the confrontation and fix it, I believe it will stop altogether.

I've also found when I fight back against my DCs, things tend to escalate and I either lose lucidity and focus on fighting, or the dream takes dark turns as I feed the violent side of it.
