      Defensive powers?

I've encountered an interesting phenomenon throughout my lucid dreams, but I've never made a topic about it. I would like to know if my experience is a single occurence or a general principle of dream control.

In my dreams I find conjuring weapons and manifesting offensive powers quite difficult. For example if i want to conjure a gun "just because", I might try twenty times and fail. I should mention that killing DCs I know in real life is next to impossible. I've never succeeded in using flashy effects like shooting lightning bolts just because I wanted to do that.

At the same time if I feel treatened or overwhelmed, I am able to manifest powers, conjure weapons and dispose of my opponents almost instanteneously. There's rarely a single flaw in the way I want something to happen. For example today I made half a dozen enemies disappear with a single thought...

Can it be that my subconscious/dream mind is helping and working with me when I encounter some danger?
Could it be the nature of my dream actions? Maybe the action out of need is more powerful than the one made out of doubt or boredom?

Did anyone else encounter anything similar?

What you have experienced is the difference between being Civilized and being a Barbarian. Dreams will support Civilization, but Dreams will oppose Barbarism. When you want to use Dream Control to rape, burn and pillage, then you receive little or no help... unless you learn to appeal to Demonic Forces. But if you are using Dream Control to help and defend the Community of Righteousness, then you will be assisted.

Not only in Dreaming but in Waking Life. We see that Civilized armies seem to have greater morale, luck and success when they are defending then when they are attacking. The Supernatual Powers are on the side of those who are defending Civilization. Unfortunately, Good is often overwhelmingly opposed by a greater number of those who side with Evil. In every Culture it seems, bored and unemployed young men are more than willing to busy themselves with rape, burning and pillage... almost just for the fun of it. Righteousness and Nobility are acquired tastes, and very few young men anymore are willing to put in the effort.
