Precog's happen to me without any provocation - I don't do anything in particular, I just get them. Been getting them for a few years now.
There is no technique for this, it is something that must come naturally. I could be wrong about this, perhaps it is achievable through much reasoning and keen observation, as in the case of cause and effect. I do know, however, that when it is truly experienced, there is no doubt of what will happen. It comes as a thought, a mental picture, or an internal dialogue, and it is utterly spontaneous. It cannot be forced because then focus will be broken. It comes in the blank state, with total awareness yet a stillness of mind. Precognition is transcendent, the pieces to the puzzle must assemble themselves.
In my experience, I typically get precog info from a dialog. For instance I once had a dream where some information was exposed to me, but it was very blurry and hidden. I shouted in my dream "WHAT IS THIS??". And it cleared up, it was something that exactly happened as seen in the dream.
I wonder if LD could enhance this? I've had conversations in dreams, not necessarily LD, where relevant info was passed on to me. I wonder if you could sit down with some one in LD and ask "Who will win the Super Bowl?". Or who will I see tomorrow?
I haven't really heard a lot on this board of conversations during LD. I'm sure it happens, just haven't seen a lot of examples compared to something like flying on the surface of the sun.
Realize this is a touch old, apologies. I believe there are meditative practices aimed at cultivating this ability. I don't know them, though! I think in general, though, you are correct; for most of us precognitive dreams just sort of happen sometimes. My stepbrother does this often, but does not have any control over it.
I've had a few dreams over recent years that seem to be precognitive, most notably the one I had before the Japanese tsunami in 2011 and several occurrences that came true in my daily life. I'm not sure if you are still avaliable for viewing in my dream journal on DVD, I'll check it out when I get back home. I don't really believe in precognition, and these kind of dreams come about randomly so I don't think you can associate them with dream control.
I've had too many precogs that were irrefutable to believe they aren't real. I do dream journals and I'm a scientific person, the odds of my dreams being mere coincidence are pretty small.
For instance, once I played the lottery. I bought 4 tickets. I had a dream after I purchased them that stated all the numbers were correct but 2, in my dream it showed 2 of 6 numbers elevated with an implication of 25 being one of them. My understanding was that two numbers above 25 on the ticket were too high and needed to be lower.
Indeed one of my tickets had a 25 on it.
I bet $100 based on this dream with every combination for the two numbers which would have won $2 Million.
When the lottery was drawn, indeed the ticket had 4 of 6 correct, the one with 25. Unfortunately my understanding of the dream was incorrect as it was 25 and the following number that were too high. So I changed one number that was correct and resulted in several tickets with 3 correct which paid nothing and one ticket with 4 correct, the original ticket.
How could you conclude that this is just coincidence?
I have the tickets to prove it.
There's a good book that I completely relate to by JW Dunne called an Experiment with Time.
My precogs are usually just my experiences, I don't see what happens to other people. So if I have a precog about a disaster, it's because I'm going to see it on the TV.
I have precogs that are typically relatively meaningless and most of the time I have no idea what they are referring to until they happen in real life. For instance the other day I had a dream about a lovely girl who says "my name is Kate" and winks at me then I see an association of her with Star Trek as if she were on Star Trek.
I don't know anyone named Kate. The next day I'm watching Lost, and I see Evangiline Lilly in a scene, and she is so gorgeous. The series has been over for some time now so I was curious what she looked like today. So I Googled her pics and saw this pic of her with Vulcan ears. Then I grabbed my journal and it struck me, her name on the series was Kate. This was what the dream was referring to.
Yeah you could say "you probably saw her on Lost the day before" and I would agree. But I had no idea prior to Googling her that she played an elf, although my first impression was she had Vulcan ears from the picture.
I would agree that this dream is a loose connection to what happen. But I have similar dreams regularly.
I have gone dry with some hard core precogs I was having, i.e. dreams that are unmistakeable for what actually would happen without much doubt. Now I just have dreams similar to the Kate one.
You can understand why I'd like to know of any methods to actualize this.
The crux of the problem is that it seems like in order to dream an event, it has to be unique or emotional. So in order to CREATE the event it has to happen in some form on its own. Although this isn't always the case.
But the biggest dilemma is getting the interpretation right before it happens. For the most part you realize what the dream was referring to after the event. It's a bit like me saying you will see a person in the future and the number 12345 will be significant in your encounter. It doesn't help much until after the encounter and you realize the reference.
I can't seem to find many precog forums on the internet.
I too have had waaaaay too many precog 'coincidences' that for my scientific mind are too much to ignore. I have had precog dreams that the EXACT thing happens. I mean, to the TEE. I act the same way in the precog, even knowing I have seen it before. It is almost like a loop in time. I have these in dreams, LDs, and in WL as well. It's about 50/50 on them being either interpretive, or exact. Only problem, is I see other things too, that either don't come true, or the message simply wasn't interpreted. So I can't always assume what I saw was the future, until BAM. It happens. I have had many strange things happen to me with time. Freezing, skipping, going back... past, present, and future melting together. Some of these things witnessed and experienced by those around me. Time is an illusion. A construct of the mind. That isn't an opinion. It is a scientific fact. At least, it is the current thought.
