      Doing "anything"

I havn't lucid dreamt for a long time (I used to be able to do it 3/7 days of the week, no joke) Intill last night.

basicly my dream was the world was being flooded so We had to go underground.

I went through this cave thing and i felt really weird, then realised it was not real.

I remembered basic dream control ect but I was not fully lucid.

I didnt realise THE DCS were not real, so I walked in to the area of the cave where everyone else was and said somthing along the lines of 'guys this isnt even real so It don't matter what we do'

They didnt seem to happy but I calmed them and started showing them what I could do.

As normall I couldn't do fire in hands stuff like that but i manged to make things dissapear by hovering my hands over them and putting out lights by aiming my hands at them.

Was a pretty cool experience but i need to do know this, alot of people say you can do anything in a Lucid dream but I struggle to do stuff such as flying (done a few times) Air blast from hands, fire from hands. ECT

If you want to do something in a dream, all you have to do is believe that you can. It's not always easy to "just" believe though.
To make it easier, you can ask the dream for more control, heighten your lucidity, or reinforce the Idea that you are dreaming.

Something that I've found to work very well for me is using "devices": a bracelet, a ring, some implant... etc. Just assume that when you put this thing on, it will give you more dream control. Don't question it, just put it on and know that it will work.
To be even more sure that the object will work, you can use one from a movie or show - I use "Sennin mode" from Naruto.

      Hope this helps

Expanding on what Higat said, read this thread on archetypes: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...gant-tool.html

Basically, if you want to do supernatural stuff, it helps to frame it in a context that your brain already recognizes. You borrow from fiction or your imagination to make the dream control more plausible. When we say to "believe" something, it means to find a connection to an already consistent set of ideas in your brain. The magic ring is one variation. Imitating Superman to fly is another.

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
