[WARNING: Bad grammar and spelling ahead, I'm too tired to read it again more than once so have mercy.]
I noticed that lately, even in my weaker LDs I got better at teleporting myself to other locations because I created a little technique for myself which made it a lot easier and was less risky to wake me up. This won't be a fully fleshed out tutorial but merely a quick sketch of my observations, hope you find it usefull.
I'm pretty sure some of us have already gotten quite proficient at inducing LDs at will, but find themselfs often limited to what can be done inside said LDs. Whatever your goal or target is in an LD, teleporting is stil one of the most important abilities, and it can be frustrating when you're inside your house and want to go to any location but find yourself trapped in a twisted labyrinth of bedrooms or other things, you stand before a closed to door and try to imagine opening it, entering a lovely green jungle. It's so clear! You can already see the image of the door opening up and the sound of birds filling the air, a waterfall to the left, a creepy spider to the right. With high hopes you pull the door open and... find yourself entering your bathroom...
You may have had other problems with teleporting but for now I'll just explain how I solved mine.
The main problem I found was changing an entire scene is very hard to justify in my brain, things can't just fall out of existence and be replaced by something entirely different. However on a smaller scale it's pretty easy, take for example you, laying on your bed just after you've induced a WILD. It's dark and you'd rather spend your time on a Sunny beach instead of here in your house which you can already do IRL, you roll on your side and inspect the fabric you're laying on. it's soft and ripples as you slide your hand across it, now focus on this small area and forget the rest of the whole world. All you're left with is your sheets and your hand, now notice how it feels slightly similar to sliding your hand over the soft warm sand on a tropical beach. Imagine the sheets being sand and see how it transforms, you take some of it and let it fall out of your palm, a steady stream of sand drops out of it and lands on the ground. You slowly back off and if everything went right your brain should've now made the equation: Sand + ground= beach. At first it may be blurry but looking around you should see palms trees and feel the cold sea wind blowing over your head. This can be done with other scenes and materials but the basic thing you have to do is start out with something small and build the rest of the scene around it.
And that is how I currently teleport around my dreams, hope you found it usefull and may you have more luck soon!
