      Angry Trouble moving

Hello. I started to aim for LDs, again. And I keep having the same problems I used to have, which demotivates me from further progress (with induction techniques and frequency of LDs).

When I become lucid (it is typically a DILD), I become paralysed and I cannot move. Sometimes the realization that I am in a dream is accompanied with a FA and it works as if I had SP. I try not to rush and after a while, I can turn to one side on my bed. However, at the point I become free and I can walk (and even run, jump very high, etc...) the dream tends to fade away very quickly. My sight is usually very poor and when I e.g. turn to my side on my bed, the scene rotates with a significant delay (as if my brain was lagging). About 90% LDs are like this (and the rest 10% is OK, but the lucidity is very low in them).

I don't know what to do. I don't enjoy my LDs this way and if I get nothing from them, I will stop having them, again. Please, do you have any advice for me?

PS: my girlfriend started having LDs again, too, but she doesn't have these problems. However she usually forgets that she is dreaming very quickly. In my case, the problem leads to an early awakening after an unsettling LD, in her case, she has a long, normal (non-lucid) dream most time.

Try to imagine another more mobile dream body that's inside your current one. Imagine being that more mobile body and floating, rolling out of, sinking, or otherwise phasing out of your current one. Doing this, you should be able to move more easily because this body wouldn't be perceived as being paralyzed.

I don't know if this could help at all, but when I experience sleep paralysis, I find that the worst thing I can actually do is to try to fight it. I find that if I peacefully accept it, give in to it, and close my eyes and fall asleep again and sink within my dream (if that makes any sense), I quickly resolve the problem and the scene completely changes (and I get mobility back). Of course, one would have to "sink" into the next scene with really strong intention, because I've had several false awakenings like this.

      Hi Madvorak!
Whenever you find yourself in SP - whether in your real body or in a dream body - the absolute worse thing to do is try to move. What you have to do is just leave the paralyzed body and float in another dream body as Dolphin suggested. Don't make it complicated. Just relax and imagine floating out or rolling out - it will happen very easily.
Then, after you are out and mobile, it's very important to stabilize the dream!
If you don't do it, then it will fade away as you say it does.
Don't rush! Relax where you are and feel all sensations - feel the world around you!
Touch you body, rub your hands, look closely to whatever is around you, smell the air etch. You can also try saying : Clarity Now!
      Sometimes it works great.
Then, when the dream is stable, go for your goals!
      Good luck!

"...what we experience is our model of reality, not reality itself. Perception is dreaming constrained by sensory input. So it’s a constrained dream, whereas dreaming is perception free of constraint. What exactly is the difference experientially between the dream and waking state? And you see, it’s the same stuff. It’s all illusion! "Stephen LaBerge

Interesting! Visualizing another dream body seems to be a good solution. It's weird how I've never done that--like I said, I just relax, to an extreme extent, like I'm falling unconscious, then I feel like I "sink" out of the situation.

You basically do the same thing even if you haven't realized it - instead of floating or rolling, you sink, so you come out in another dream body.
As long as you don't struggle to move, you're ok.
