fully lucid but confidence is failing me

Hello, I lucid dream at about a 3/4 level. I reolize it's a dream and concentrate to change things, but sometimes I still feel real pain. Last night I had a dream and decided to paint myself a beautiful atmospere and a large feild of flowers appeared, i wanted to run through it and enjoy myself, and a bard wire appeared. I kept telling myself it's not real just walk through it, and I was able to walk through it without much pain, but it did cut me alittle and it felt like real pain. I have also had dreams where I want to fly jump off a cliff and loose control and fall, I abviously dont die when I hit the ground, but the stomach drop feeling feels weird, and I hate that feeling, even though I knew it was'nt real. I think maybe my confidence is low...any Ideas how

wow I can't believe you actually felt pain..I have cut my arm on purppose and didn't even bleed

atucally alot of people have trouble with control. I doubt it has anything to do with confidence..

I usually have pain in my (non-lucid), dreams, but only in extremes. Like if im going to get hurt, its going to kill me, that kind of extreme, so i usually dont experience any small pains. (for some reason some kind of blade swings towards my stomache and thats the end to quite a few dreams, lol).

I'm envious, I wish I could paint my own landscapes sometimes would be cool to play god like that, hehe my fav part of simcity is creating the landscapes.

As for pain, lucky for me my dreams are too damned real for reality check to work... oh wait that sucks...
Nothing like getting shot by a .22 hurts like hell but you can most likely survive and function if its not through the heart or noggin, they do have a nasty tendancy to shred up tissue and rochochet off bones needless to say.... OWIE.
BTW the fishknuckle that shot me ended up getting pistol whipped by his own gun. Then I promptly asked to be taken to the hospital, and feignted on the way, adrenalin is a wonderfull thing.
Yeah... then I woke up here. *mutter*

I think it's so odd how feelings feel so real in dreams....are'nt wet dreams evidence of this? I know some people think you cant orgasm in a dream, but I can gerentee I have....Sorry for not going into detail, but It was definately pretty real, but the problem was I'd come really close sometimes and wake up totally out of the mood, so I'd try to fall back asleep as fast as I could to get back to the fun.
The landscape painting has been dureing my best dreams and was really amazing, but in one dream the actual act of creteing my own enviroment made me reolize something. I had a dream where I was fully lucid but felt very lonely and sad. I figured if I was somewhere beautiful I might feel better, so I amagined my perfect house in a beautiful pasture near a cliff and ocean, and It had no effect on my mood. I reolized where I live will not automatically change the way I feel...cause I'm always comeplaining about getting out of hot florida

In my dreams sometimes i feel pain and some times i dont. Im not aware of any method of dealing with it.

I can tell you this though being a lucid dreamer is one great way to avoid a mess in your bed. Last night i had a great dream I was flying around el cajon Ca where i use to live and landed at some apartments. One of the apartment doors happened to be open. So strolled in ... I wish i would have looked at the number of the apartment. I was on a mission. This blonde girl lived there and had no problem with me dropping by. She was a stranger by the way. I notice the perfect time to try to look in the mirror while dreaming, as i pass her bathroom i looked in seen a mirror and sure enough it was me very clear until i focused on it more and more seemed as if my face moved at a slower reaction weird as hell but not to fun. I walked into the hall and turned left and there she was sitting on a small bed with not much on but very nice. She didnt have much so say and i didnt either. I knew it was going to be fun. I hit it until i was about to reach orgasm then woke up still ready to go. Sorry if some of you are offended by this but it was very cool. And real. I remeber when i was 16 and would just let one loose on all over my sheets i would wake up mad at myself for being so dang horny all the time. Hmm maybe this was one of my signs look for my budweiser baton. j/k lol

I feel pain in dreams, to the extreme. I had a dream (Non-LD) where I was shot by a shotgun, Let me tell you that it was the worst pain iv'e ever felt, and I was asleep!
What seems to work for me is to imagine pain feeling like something else, like adreniline or something, I dunno be creative.
Everyone seems to lack confidence in LD's, I know I started out being unsure wether I could do things like fly or not. But eventually you begin to relise that everything is under your control and you can do what you wish and nothing like lack of confidence can hold you back.
      Hope this helps

i heard that pain in dreams could mean avoidance of a problem. or disharmony in physical, mental, emotional or spiritual self.

Paperdoll. Thats very cool how we share the same mirrror experience. Im hoping others try this a share thier experience.

Also have you tried this a few times or several is it always the same?

Hmmm. I'v felt pain in a recent dream in which a person in no legs kicked me (which was weird) in the stomach and it hurt like CRAP. I also had people shoot at me and it hurt kind of bad.
