Well, control is relative. It's kind of like arm wrestling, whoever is stronger wins (or loses on purpose)
So say a strong and good arm wrestler gets tired of winning at their town pub where everyone is weaker than them. What do they do? Well either they can start losing on purpose out of boredom, OR they can find stronger opponents to try to beat, like at a regional championship or something.
^___^ but you don't care about arm wrestling.
In ur case, since u are a strong dream controller, have u tried entering a realm with dream characters more sentient and powerful than yourself? Have u ever encounterd a dream realm where they have immensely more strength over the dream than you?
Of course you can always try losing on purpose, but I say explore and sharpen ur skills in the gladiators arena, strong dreamer. Whatever level of power you have, If you search, you will find a realm where your skills do not compare to even the weakest in that domain.
Adventure on
Thanks wisher, I'll try it, and I'll battle more sentient DCs with god-like powers :D
I edited that like 3 times to make it sound more epic lollz
I agree with Wisher. You should create or find a dc that has more control than you. You will definitely have a fun time battling them. But since your battling something you are giving somewhat more or equal strength you probably might fail in battling them because they will have like OP strength/power.^^ But its all good.
If you are strong enough, you should be able to create a DC, place, and/or thing that can inhibit your dream control.
Are you kidding? Do you know how many people are currently practicing in order to have even the slightest bit of control? If I didn't just have 3 lds, 2 of which were awesome, I would be really jealous :P Don't you have any anime fights you want to recreate? Or powers you want to copy? Do you even watch anime? xD Also, when watching an anime they really give you the sense that the enemies are really really strong, so I can imagine that they will be really powerful in your dreams as well.
I was looking for some fight compilations to send you but there are none. It would be much better to google people's favorite fights and then search for those episodes or maybe you can find it on Youtube.
This is a cool guy from Bleach. Maybe you could have fun wielding his powers or fighting against him.
Spoiler for Pictures:
Attachment 8533I've done something like that once it was basically like this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ddLpHci8hY though as you can see lapis lazuli had the upper hand throughout the battleAttachment 8533 here's a guy you can fight he's the Lich From adventure Time but be careful I once fought him and I lost and woke up because he quickly turned it into a nightmare with his hypnotic powers here's a sense of his total power http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrlymHW0qU8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2k7Jf9xO3
I'm with Sensei on this.
Being able to deliberately place specific and persistent limitations on yourself showcases a level of control and dedication on par with the likes of Hukif.
WHAT?! :boggle: i wish i was you
So... I just had an awesome LD in which a DC asked me to help her with something and I realized I wasn't very good at it.
Telekinesis
Not just TK though, because I have had TK forever, but what I would call "delicate TK". Instead of going for moving bigger and faster like I had been forever (Trees! Cars! Buildings! Moons! Stars!) I started moving small things and using them with more delicacy than I could with my own hands. Keeping them steady and 10+ things going at the same time doing specific different things. I want to be able to get to hundreds of specific things doing exactly what I want.
multiple bodies
quite awesome. Having multiple bodies under your control at once.
Full possession
Take over a DC. If the DC doesn't know that it is a dream, then you should lose that thought as well. You should have all the experience and memories of them and no experience or memories of your own, so there is no telling what you will do when you get there.
This is also a good idea if you have a DG that is mysterious and you want to get into their head. :P
lose your body and become one with the surroundings
Kinda difficult at first, but if you keep it up, you can try to get it bigger and bigger and bigger until you can "scan" the whole universe.
Block your ability to wake up
Dilate time
Shared Dreaming
Most amazing
Look for the most amazing things. Most amazing feelings, sights, mountains, oceans, animals, suns, humans, aliens, colors, governments, etc.
I still stand by my previous thoughts, but these are the things that I consider "Advanced Dream Control"
I'm with you Gaea. Sure it's fun to run about like it's gta and try and control the dream and do crazy shit. But the most incredible, next level, higher plane of consciousness lds i've had i just surrendered to the dream and lost control, and discovered the dream was infinitely wiser than I was.
Well technically having no control would just be a normal dream.
But yes, there have been times when I was having so many lucids that I just wanted some normal dreams for once.
Man, I need to start LDing again, lol. Well, what usually squandered my dream control was to try and control dreams by brute force. Rather than use logic or my dream senses to control the dream, I simply will things to happen or come into existence without any kind of effort to explain in my mind "why" something would appear or happen, but just to will it there. Try and be more emotional too, rather than activate the frontal lobes which allow you to think with logic (like math equations, sequence of events, cause and effect) and awareness (of one's surrounding and self). Maybe try and control lots of things at once, with your attention spread so thin it could allow the unconscious mind to start taking over in the dream.
You could also get creative with it and start designing devices and dream lands where you are able to "change difficulties" or can even turn parts of your mind off (like a headband that inhibits higher-level brainwave function or a helmet that inhibits certain areas of the brain). Or take a pill that reduces lucidity, or invent a lucid "dial" on a controller where you can manipulate lucidity level by percentage? Maybe try LDing in the dream, like laying down and WILDing or something? And then imagine each new layer of dream you go into reduces lucidity by like 10% or something.
Reminds me of the week where I had nothing but pleasant dream experiences. It drove me nuts and I hated it; I wanted to have unpleasant dreams!
Anyone else see the irony? xD

I'll repost this here cause I think it relates. I think what your looking for is passive control, and it requires a slightly different, more observer philosophy, (be the watcher, not necessarily the one being watched.) (don't do this is real life) :nono: You appear to have good control in a demand kind of fashion, I am more passive, this post was written to explain how people who are not good with direct control how to have more a passive control for long lucids. Still It's refreshing to just let the dream current take you as it can be quite a bit more strange and alien if you let it go.
After many years since I posted at most 25seconds (as my longest lucid dream) I can say I have had a few nearly hour long experiences and they are amazing (so yes experience is everything). I still don't ever have consistent ld's but whenever I do I have vastly more control and length of ld's than back in 2007. One thing I notice about any extreme, or even moderate length ld is you will consonantly be in awe at how bizarre and amazing your inner plots become (my best really long lucids are the one's where I let the dreams plot unfold without altering it knowing it's all illusion). Your best bet for long lucids, with amazing plots (at least in my experience's) is to forgo your own path, at least for a little, you need to be the observer, you need to feel how lucid dream physics feel. And how every time, they seem to have the same quarks. One of the best things to do is to not tell all the dream charters it's all a dream and don't force them into existence, don't force them into your own ego (they will show up on their own if you expect them, if you don't expect them and feel you need to create them, then it's already a failure).
Team up with dream charters, and you will be rewarded with plots you didn't even think you could write if you had a thousand years. My favorite continuing dream plot revolves around the dream Ruler of the Cat Kingdom, she showed up and started talking about her cat kingdom, that my friends is not something one say's ya but it's all a dream to. If they speak like that, let em talk. So being passive, I ended up in her cat kingdom with Buddhist flying cats, cat parades, cat politics, cats in cars, cat's that talk, cat's that know ninja, cat's in flying car's, because if cat's can already fly on their own, why the hell not? Wakingnomad would be proud of this plot. Like I said before if I say go to cat kingdom, guess what? I end up with the cool-aid man with a chainsaw ;P Recurring plots and recurring dreams are where 90% of my long lucids come from, it's from expecting them, not creating them. Ironically I had never heard of the movie The Cat Returns (which has a Prince, and queen of the Cat Kingdom.) before I had this dream. I made (I mean the dream made) basically the queen of the Cat Kingdom, she's a human in my dream, and doesn't appear to be called Yuki. Thier is not Prince of cat kingdom ether. Still tho, I was like but I dreamed this
The more you lucid dream the more you will end up with moments like that. A more recent recurring world has me talking with a scientist, a scientist with a most bizarre theory. "Black holes have a stoplight that's why the lights don't get out" you don't interrupt that, EVER. He Stated that light and all matter stay at the black hole stoplight until it goes green for all the black holes gathered matter, and that it reaches the singularity all at one time to create a new universe. He said if observers of the new universe look back through telescopes they will only see it as one moment, one explosion when it was really a bunch of small explosions and gathered light waiting, waiting at a stoplight. Man I got to talk to this scientist again, such a rad plot. Yes he said when it goes green XD.
And because your passive you get to realize wile it's happening right then and how amazing it is but keep in check because you can be absorbed into the crazy plots. They will consistently give you absolutely amazing commentary as long as you don't say all a dream, cause then it just loops on that one simple idea, and suddenly you will have an empty dream with no characters, no more flying cat's no more interstellar stoplight's No characters equals no vast plot, no vast plot equals a quick boring dream, which will eventually end with you wondering, am I waking? Is this the dream fading? Passive control is how to have long lucid dreams. Back when I was having 25 second lucids at most, I was trying to control everything immediately. Afraid if I went to too many rooms too quick, I'd wake myself. To anyone who is in the 25 seconds top's phase like I was, say fuck that go through as many rooms as you want, that's the point.
