I keep forgetting how I want to manipulate my dreams in my dreams.

I have a list of things I want to do when I'm lucid. However, whenever I am lucid, I forget how I want to manipulate my dreams. Once I wake up however, I remember perfectly what I want to do. Is this normal? Also, is there a way I can remember what I want to do?

P.S. I've had dreams where I couldn't remember how I wanted to manipulate the dream scene, but ended up manipulating the dream in a different way on command, so it's not like I can't manipulate my dreams, it's just I keep forgetting how I want to manipulate them.

Something that helps me to remember what I want to do in-dream is to write down what I want to do before bed at least three times, sometimes as many as ten times. I can usually remember my goals a lot better when I become lucid after doing that.

What helped me with this is having a specific goal rather than a million goals. This allowed me to go to the fact that if I can't pull up exactly what my goal is at any moment, why would I remember it after realizing I am dreaming?

It's normal, for me the best thing that worked is to keep imagining the scenario of the dream before you go to bed. Imagine the things you want to do (best is to imagine it in you most frequent dream environment). I would recommend to try to do one thing every night. Keep trying the first thing on your list and forget the rest until you do it.
