      Question I have weird dreams?

Hi, I'm Sahar (13). I'm new here and I cant dream lucid yet but I hope I can in the future. I'm here to 'learn' that some way.

Well...I dream kind of weird. Idk how to say it but some of my dreams are in black and white, anyways I can control all of them. I can't lucid dream but just control them..Is that even possible? I don't feel any of it but I can just control them and I haven't had a nightmare in ages. I don't feel like talking about this to my parents or friends, kind of scared they think Im weird
Anywayss I'd really like to lucid dream and not 'just' control my dreams or something idk. Does this mean something..?
Because of what I have heard of my bestfriend (the only person I told about this), she said she can't control hers. It just happens. I have these since I was almost 12 i think.

      Well, bye.

I'll let more experimented dreamers add their ideas on that, but dream control is a big part of lucid dreams. That being say, in your dreams, are you aware that you are dreaming? Do you tell yourself "I'm in a dream, I can do whatever I want," then take control of the situation? Some people are natural lucid dreamer and achieve dream lucidity very easily, even everynight without much trying, it sound like you could be one of those.

Thanks for your reply, and no, I don't realize I'm dreaming. I do realize I can do everything I want. So when I want a song to play in my dreams, I can choose which one. If I want someone to fall on the ground, they will. And when I want something to happen, I think about it, I don't just scream "Fall" but I do It with my 'mind' and take a decision.. But I don't realize I dream or something.

      Hello Sahar,

Unless you expect people to fall when you think about them in waking life, clearly there would be some awareness of your current state

Personally, I think we have to make a difference between active awareness, passive awareness, and no awareness. To use an analogy. Think about walking around in a city. You may be very consciously thinking 'I'm current on 5th street'. This would be active awareness. Or you'd be following a route you've done a thousand times, and be thinking about other things while you're flawlessly following the right path. This would be passive awareness. Or, you'd be lost and have no idea where you are, or be so drunk/high you don't even realize you're in a city. This would be no awareness.

In your case, I think you are passively aware that you're dreaming, allowing you to control them. Some people would say these are lucid dreams. They certainly show a higher level of awareness then regular dreams, and the added control is an extra argument in this case. Personally, I call them 'awareness dreams'. But regardless of what you call them, from there its just a small step to full active awareness. So welcome aboard, and I'm sure you'll be sharing your lucid dream tales with us in no time!

      Sahar,

I started Lucid Dreaming/Dream Control at an early age. I suggest not telling Friends or Family about your dreams or abilities in your dreams. I tried back when I was young. I thought everyone could do it. I found out most people had not ideas what I was talking about. So I learned to keep my mouth shut.

I kept learning over the years to Totally Control every dream I had. It took a long time and a lot of practice. I had no one to guide me so I leaned on my own. Keep practicing and trying new things.

If you have any questions, let me know.

      Important!

Reader, I can't edit my thread, I dont know why.
I would like you to know that I can't remember my dreams anymore.
Nothing comes to my head, literally nothing. If I wake up I cannot remember any of my dreams.
I don't feel like I've had one (for example waking up sweaty after a nightmare; I dont have that).
I feel like I dreamed all black that day. I don't know what the reason is for this. I wouldn't want to know, I don't want to get involved anymore with lucid dreaming or anything else that has to do with it for personal reasons. Please understand this.

Thankyou for even scrolling to this reply.
      Goodbye!
