      Tips please

Let me put it this way...

I have yet to become lucid but once I do there are a few certain things I want to do once I get there for example...

There is a certain person I want to meet and....ahem....well lets keep it at meet cause I really really REALLY want to "meet" her... so once I do become lucid, is there a way to make people or things appear because I would really like to rocket launcher all of those zombies in my dream and umm... "meet" that certain person?

So I guess my question is is it possible to make people appear, and then take it from there?

This should probably be in Dream Control thread but.... my thoughts

      1. Confidence (Excpect things to be there)
      2. Dream spinning (Concentrating on the person as u spin)
      3. For the rocket launcher, I found reaching into a box and feeling the item first before you see it.

But #1 is the most important. Its your dream, your in control.[/b]

Yea, if you dont see them, spin and concentrate on the place u just were ( or your bedroom) Then focus on her being in the bed and stop spinning.

      Sounds effective thanks...

I guess I'm kinda getting ahead of myself, but it never hurts to be prepared, cause who knows I could have a lucid dream tonight if I concentrate hard enough just want to be ready... For the zombies OR Anna Paquin...

Confidence is definitely the first and most important step in achieving good dream control. As to how you proceed from there, there are a number of methods that may or may not work.

      For summoning people:
      1. Try calling his/her name. Verbal commands are quite powerful in dreams.
      2. Expect to find the person around a corner or behind a door.
      3. Go somewhere you'd be likely to find the person, expecting to find them. Very similar to 2, but should be more powerful.

Summoning objects is generally a bit easier, as they are simpler and don't have a mind of their own. The method that Hoppy Potty described is almost always your best bet. Another thing to try is simply summoning the object out of thin air, throwing in some verbal commands and hand motions. It may be more difficult because you are summoning something directly into view, but everyone has different things that work for them.
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

      You wanne secks her?

Anyhow, if you get lucid, just try to ' summon' her. Or maybe just fly to her house / school or where-ever she is ' likely ' to be.

      Good luck! : )

I agree with what Scruffy said. The easiest way for me to make people appear is to find them hiding places. If I'm in a building I'll just go from room to room looking for them. Or if I'm in my house I'll start looking behind doors and in closets and such lol. They like to hide places. Once time I was SO frustrated that I couldn't summon a person...I actually sat down at a computer and "downloaded" them and they appeared in my closet. It was a total "weird science" moment.

However, don't expect things to be all wonderful once you get them to show up. People will often morph on you. Morph into other people, morph into other things, or just get really distorted and creepy looking. So I don't summon people often. Also, it probably sounds amazing to you to be able to have this girl in your dream...just know that lucid dream sex is WAY overrated. First...IF you manage to get the person to show up...they will probably turn into something else. And it's extremely hard to get off. Like damn near impossible. It's just frustrating. So I don't really bother anymore. There's way cooler things I've learned to do in my LDs than just hump the nearest hot boy I find.

edit: Oh yeah, I'm moving this thread.

Hey Forrest - (got your IM, btw)
Control in dreams, I belive, is just another skill that you have to work at - just like learning how to lucid dream. I've had numerous LD's and a couple WILDs and while they're great and wonderful - I STILL have trouble with control (as you read in my post of my most recent one).

I agree with those who said it's the confidence thing that matters. However, you also might want to try something that would help you with expectation of something happening.

For example, don't just simply walk up to any door and before opening think "beyond this door there will be...." (I tried that and it worked but to a limited degree). Instead, try putting yourself in a situation or setting where you would EXPECT this certain person (X-Men's Rogue) to be.

EXAMPLE: So... lets say you're in a dream - lucid - in the middle of some street. You might ask yourself where you are, instead, just convince yourself where you are -- "I am right out front of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters" or whatever. So, when you turn around, it will be there. Now, when you open the door, it's more likely that you'd EXPECT to find Rogue there because, duh, that's where she lives. When she does, grab her by the waist, pull her in tight, and give her a big smooch on the lips (just make sure she's got her gloves on)

Is Rogue this transformer babe? I hardly remember this movie... it was like - a Marvel Movie and the only scene left in my memory is this girl transforming into various other hot girls and the guy going all pissy about it - what a fucking dumbass.

Scruffy covered my answer - Call their name, and expect them to come walking around the corner or over the horizon.
This worked for me, despite the fact that the person didn't want to cooperate with me.
They still refused to talk to me, but that's another story

Sorry to go off topic, but Rouge was the girl with Logan (Wolverine) who couldn't touch people with her bare skin without absorbing them and their powers. She was wearing a robe or purple cloak thing at the beginning and had a white streak through her hair at the end of the movie. Mistique (sp?) was the blue transformer babe. Again, sorry to go off topic, but I thought I would clear that up really quick. Move along everyone, nothing to see here.
