What you want is called "Dream incubation" - if you really want something to happen, you think about it for some period of time ( For something small like finding some specific object it may take 1 min of visualization, for something as complex as your plan it may take a week).
So you want to think about your scenario for about a week, *clearly* connecting it to your dreaming. I'm not talking about fantasizing, this isnt helpful. Pretty much this is how it goes - you are going about your business, sometimes thinking that what you want to happen will happen in your dreams and it will happen recurrently.
Every time you think of X-men or Rogue, simply fend off these thoughts with a simple thought : " I can have all sex with Rogue that I want and dont want in my dreams" or something along these lines.
There should be quite a lot of articles about dream incubation on this site, search for them. You should be particularly interested in the mindset of dream incubation - normal fantasizing doesnt work, you need to play it much more subtle, but I have trouble defining what exactly this mindset is.
Think of Freud's interpretation of dreams as wish fulfillment - if you wont "masturbate" on your wish by fantasizing about it, there is an increased chance that your dream will fulfill that wish for you.
PS oh well, this thread may be a bit too old
