You aren't. You could be in the dream for two seconds, and your brain will tell itself you've been dreaming for 10 years and give you a lot of false memories to make you believe it. Either that or your brain speeds up and you start dreaming super quick, while in your mind you experience things at a normal pace.
LaBerge's studies show that dream time is approximately equal to real time.
Well usually that's true but there have to be exceptions to allow for dreams with altered time frames.
So.... I can't stay in a lucid dream for what SEEMS like weeks?
Who know's what you can do.. Some people have claimed to have been able to have dreams that lasted years. So, the same person would say that it would be easy to have a dream that only lasts a few weeks. Personally, I have only been lucid 1 time and it was for under a minute, so to imagine doing it for what feels like a week seems pretty far away.
My last experience was for what seem to be about 4 days. But I didn't go to sleep and wake up. It was more like 4 different episodes. each one seamed to have lasted 1day. Kind of like going to the park for a picnic or going to an amusement park. It's awsome. Lately there has been alot of sex.
