That sounds more like sleep paralysis then a flase awakening. They're not uncommon, especially for people who spend time practicing LDs, and AFAIK, they're not dangerous. I've found that it usually happens to me when I open my eyes in the middle of REM. The body remains paralyzed, as it should be, but my mind is awake, as in a LD. Some people report feeling a pressure on their chest, or a feeling of being watched or of impending danger. As far as the pain when you float through a wall, I'd reccomend refraining from floating through walls! |
