      Welcome!

All the information you need can be found in the tutorials section on this site.
I'd also suggest you buy Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Steven LaBerge. Alternatively just type in Dream control or Reality Check into the search option, there is a wealth of information on this site... Enjoy
      Are you dreaming or awake?

      practice while awake

because most of us can't 'remember' in our dreams - or rather that we completely forget how to especially control our dreams when they happen, it really helps (creativity, too) to practice/act it out/etc. in real life - when you do reality checks especially, and you know for certain that you are not asleep - then if you were dreaming right now, what would you do - then think and maybe try it (depending on who's watching ) the idea (and fact) is that this 'translates' into dreams - what you think/do in real life with help with lucid dreaming
"What if I were to tell u that you can take control...of all of this? Look at all these people. Seems as though they're just all chatting away? Nothing to do with u. And yet., maybe they're only here because u wanted them to. U are their god. U can make them obey u or even destroy u."

I agree with the advice given above, reading the tutorials, buying EWOLD, and doing reality checks will be extremely helpful.

Also, if you haven't already, you should start a dream journal. This will help you identify patterns to your dreams which will help you gain lucidity.

      Good luck!
