one thing ive noticed is that a lot of LD's i had when starting out always began a little fuzzy and the longer i was lucid the more clear it became and it would keep getting clearer as time went on. |

Ok so last night I had two LDs, but while I was lucid, I knew I didn't have full control of my analytical mind, like I wasn't able to think as I would normally, it was like half my mind was able to think rationally and the other half was in "dream mode". |

Ok thanks. I know I need to learn to control myself because as soon as I become lucid, I seem to run about doing all sorts of weirdness, so I need to learn to stop and take it slowly. |

For me, I kind of just tell myself before i go to sleep that I can acheive clarity if I become lucid. When i become lucid in the dream I already believe that if I say in a commanding tone "more clarity"(almost as if you're a sort of wizard or something) that it will happen. Since I already believe that it will work in the first place, it is more likely to work. And also, you can say this command more than once to keep getting a clearer picture. |

Yes, it was interesting and I'm sure it will be helpful, thanks. |

Fuzziness does happen, but try spinning in a circle in your dreams, while saying "Clarity!", and when I mean spinning, I mean REALLY spinning. It works for me, sometimes using this I can actually touch something and have it feel real, or look at something and have it look like a high definition picture. |

"And when he gets to heaven, to St Peter he will tell: 'One more soldier reporting sir; I've served my time in hell." - Winston Churchill
I tried the verbal command to increase clarity (I used "Increase Lucidity") in my most recent LD, but found I was unable to speak properly - the words came out all muffled/garbled and I lost the dream and woke up, has anyone else had a similar problem when trying to gain clarity in a LD? Before I said the command I did try rubbing hands together, but that had little effect. I lost the dream before I could try the spinning technique. What is most upsetting about all of this is that this was the most lucid I have been in a dream so far in all my attempts, but as soon as I began to try to stabilize and then go exploring I lost the dream |

Back in black!
I like to rub my hands on my chest when I feel the dream about to fade. It works well for me when my vision starts to go. I've had problems with spinning in the past because I don't feel I can ever spin fast enough. Often times I just keep repeating to myself that what I'm experiencing is a dream even though it feels so real. And by noticiing tiny details, increase the clarity. Just be careful to remain detached else you fall back into the dream |
