      still having some difficulties

Hi, I posted a while back (and now can't find my post, so am posting again) about my difficulty in staying in a dream. Well I still am having that same problem, I have some new ones.

I read somewhere on here that if you want something, you should verbalize it, demand it, ask for it, something along those lines. So I've tried that, and occasionally it will happen. I remember I was walking through somewhere and it was raining, and I said something to the effect of "clear the skies", or "stop the rain", "bring out the sun", something... and it didn't work but I turned and looked in a certain direction and it worked there, but nowhere else.

I've had many instances where my mind has just stopped me from getting what I wanted. I like bringing people into my dreams, but, after finding myself in a crowd and asking him to bring in some people, he did, but as I progressed on with who I wanted there... well, the quality started going out the window after about 3.

Also, I've tried walking into a room, expecting something to be there, and it was not... it was a twisted version of what it should have been.

But what's been really freaky is that my dreams have stopped, with some sort of text (similar to that of a "game over" screen), and said something to the effect of "don't do that!". The first time it said, that if I did it 2 more times, something bad would happen.

Then the other night, I was watching a movie or something, and I asked it to slow down, and it did. But the thing was flashing on and off every second or two, so I said, could we ditch the flashing too? Then I got taken to this other screen that, I think called me a bastard or something, and not to do that. Then there was a bunch of text I tried to read after that, but couldn't read all of it/remember it when I woke up.

What do you guys make of that?

Here's the other post I think you were looking for (it's in your profile).

Control can be a hard thing to, well, control. Sometimes you may have good control, and sometimes none at all. You won't have total control over every dream or LD you have. But when you find yourself in a position that you can make something change, really believe that you can change it. Good luck and keep trying!

Isn't it odd though that my sub-conscious (I guess), doesn't want to go along with me on stuff, and has apparently even (dream) warned me for it.

maybe it (your brain) doesn't like you to go on trying to control the dream too long because it gets tired?
for me it works a little this way, like low battery...

Does it ever pop up with a message that says, "Oh dear, you are dead"? RS Inside joke.
Or how about "No, no, no--wrong way." Diddy Kong Racing Inside joke. That would be cool.
Back with less attitude and more diffidence than ever before! Maybe.

well, for the situations where its raining don't say "not this" or something similar with the same essence. That'll just confuse you.

say something like "i want nice blue skies with nice fluffy clouds and the sun shining brightly just above the horizon." or something like that then visualize what you want and it will come.

Hi, I had another experience with all this, and I thought I should share this one... it was... different.

See, I asked for things as I normally do and they were given, I thanked... whoever, except once because it wasn't exactly what I asked, but close. Anywho, I was walking around doing things talking to beautiful girls (instead of jumping on them), and then I leaned into one of them, and I asked her... I said something to the effect of, "Where is my dream guide?".

Then, there was a brief pause, blackness, and I started viewing this little... tape I guess. First there was a cartoonish blob of something on the left, and a dog (like Lassie) on the right side. They started talking about something like a story that didn't make sense, as "pages" kept turning to show illustrations and whatnot. Like last Sunday, blah blah blah, encoding, blah blah blah, Des Moines, blah blah blah. After it was done I went right back to what I was doing in the first place.

So, to sum it up, I outright asked where my dream guide was, used those exact words too, and was shown an odd clip having nothing to do with it that I could surmise.

How do I interpret that? Should I keep asking, or what? For some reason it freaks me out to ask things like that, I don't know what's going to happen in there. I kind of fear my subconscious, like if I don't play by it's rules it's gonna kick me out of dreams or send bad things after me in my dreams (which I've had very few nightmares, like ever, I always just wake myself up, except one time I woke up, thought I was up, but I wasn't and it scared me again), or something.

You need to watch the first matrix and set up that "jump test" in your dream. It gets easier the more comfortable you are. The dream world is your oyster.

Except, I haven't been able to do things like that. All I seem to be able to do in my dreams, is wake myself up when I want, and somewhatly control who I see, and what I say and do. I basically tend to ask for things to happen, and they sometimes do (if my sub-conscious thinks I've been good), but alot of times don't, (whatever I ask for, horribly mutated and so on). However, if I try to get things exactly the way I want them, my sub-conscious starts rebelling and telling me not to get so greedy, I guess.

I want to try and get ahold of this dreamguide of mine, and see if he'll tell me why my subconscious is out to get me.

This time, I was hanging out talking to more girls (if not in my dreams, then where), and one of them for some reason caught my attention, and I went to talk to her. She seemed repulsed by me, and seemed to make fun of every other girl in my dreams by being absolutely against anything I wanted. I then awoke out of frustration.

Oh, and I apparently did run into my dreamguide, possibly, as I asked him if he was, because I was asking him for other things to happen, and he nodded. I was then transported away and forgot to look for/ask for him again.

In short: How do I get this dreamguide to help me out with my dreams? / How do I get my sub-conscious to quit "cutting me off"?

For starters you and your subconscious have to start working together. Realizing that you and your subconscious are one is the main thing. Expectations rule, which is especially true in your dreams.

Could you be a little less cryptic please?

Was I being cryptic? I don't know how else you want me to explain it. I'm just saying that for whatever reason you're sabataging yourself. For some reason you're expecting your subconcious to disrupt things when your subconcsious is just you. You're expecting it to happen so it happens. When I say you and your subconcious have to start working together I mean you have to start working with yourself. Once you realize that the only thing holding you back is yourself you can set yourself free. You're creating this figure in your mind that wants to stop you from doing what you want to do, and you're letting them have all the power. Captain Planet said it best. The power is yours!
