Physicless Music
Somenights,
I wind up in a swarm of rhythm,
You see,
in my waking life I am constantly tapping and moving
and thinking about music dynamics and counting rhythms
and time signatures and ETC.
SO when I dream,
Music is extraordinary!
The other night I was holding a rounded pyramid shape,
that felt like squishy skin,
It was vibrating
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL
BASS TONE I'VE EVER HEARD
and I was controling that with my mind,
While playing this pyramid
as some crazy ass drum.
I was having the time of my life,
when Other musicians began to play with me.
A pianist was certain,
the rest I can not remember.
O the sounds I hear in dreams
are so inspiring, as a musician
Wake up and have motivation to live
thru the day Just so I can play
with the universe.

I played guitar in a dream once, I was semi lucid, and I kept wondering how accurate the notes I was playing on the strings at certain frets were. so I made alittle tune in the dream and remembered it. Then the next day I remembered the dream and I played it and it was pretty close, though it didnt sound as cool as it did in the dream.

that's pretty cool. That adds one more thing to my list of things to do when I finally become lucid. I think it's cause the sub-concious mind can do anything the concious can do but better. (theres are post about that which I got the idea from a thread by arby)

Hi.
I had a dream where I was composing a very major work that was to be performed by 4 full wind ensembles. The interesting thing about it was that I was composing it on the fly, bit by bit.
First I had to instruct all the percussionists on which instruments were needed, and I didn't really know which ones I wanted exactly. I just said, yeah that and that and that...et.c. I felt like an artist picking the paints for his canvas.
So I'd write a few measures and then we'd rehearse it and then write more.
I remember it being very rhythmic and a bit catchy...but can I remember the exact musical materials?...naw
