What Makes You A Natrual Lucid Dreamer??

Thats what i was thinking about reading Lucid Kids post (welcome by the way)

What really makes you a Natrual..Is it that fact that you can Lucid Dream alot and have good control? Or because you simply can pretty much Lucid Dream Everyday?

The thing is..is if the Natrual definition is Lucid Dreaming at will or everyday..Anybody can train themselves to be at that level..some people have gotten to that level, so does that make them Natrual LDers?

The thing is, i found out about Lucid Dreaming just over a year ago, ive had 64 Lucid Dreams and have found my Dream Guide during that time...Now since I never heard of Lucid Dreaming before having one, does that make me a Natrual because I had one before knowing what it is?

What im trying to say is..People stumble across Lucid Dreaming everyday some people found out about it when they were young, some old..The thing is, we all find out about it and after we do we are all capable of Lucid Dreaming..some better then others, but in the end...It's All the Same..We all keep dream Journals, We all do RC's, We all try the same techniques to induce Lucid Dreams

I just dont see how someone could be classified as a Natrual (Lding everday) when someone can get to that same level..is this making sense??

Anywho botttom line, what classifies an Natrual LDer from i guess a NON-Natrual

      thanks

Well the way I see it, there are lots of different things which aid becoming lucid, skills like relaxing, focuisng, concentration, visualisation, memorey and other stuff. I guess the better you are in those skill areas in non dream related ways, the easier you will find applying those skills to the necessary techniques for LDing. I guess that's kind of what talent is...
I mean if you never knew about lucid dreaming, but spent a long time philosophising about reality and perception, that critical thinking would likely creep into your dreams, and might allow you to LD, I guess then you would count as a natural dreamer? I suppose in the end it boils down to how hard you have to work at it...

My opinion is a natural is someone who can LD often/every night without actually trying to LD. Someone who never needs to use an induction technique, and LDs even though they never needed to practice any LD induction techniques. So you can get to the frequency of a Natural in my opinion, but you can't become one. If you naturally LD without trying, or barely trying, but if it took work to get to the point of LDing very often, like a natural, you are just very skilled at LDing. I'm not either of them though.

I guess it's lucid dreaming without knowing what lucid dreaming is. When I was a kid I used to call the whole thing being "in the zone," because I didn't know what else to call it. I had never even heard the term lucid dream.

I dunno. I think everyone is probably a natural, but certain people just got into it earlier for one reason or another.

A natural can LD every night without trying.

I would go so far as to say a natural can use 'powers' in the dream out of sheer force of will instead of using actual techniques.

Think of it like the parting of the Red Sea, for metaphorical example. For the followers of god (the naturals) they crossed with ease without any special skills. For the non-believers (the non-naturals) they would have to build ships or swim across.
