Ok, I'm pretty sure I'm a natural at getting lucid. I had a few rare lucid dreams before I started (I realized I was dreaming because I was naked in public). So, anyway, I started attempting lucid dreaming on May 26, 2006. After the second night, I already had a lucid dream. I had about 1 or 2 lucids a week from then on, until I went to camp from late June to late July. At camp, I had barely any lucids because I was too excited to care much about lucid dreaming. Now, I'm getting an average of 1 lucid a night, especially if I manage to stay asleep between 8-10 AM.
In total, since May 26, 2006, this totals up to 17 lucid dreams (yes, I had one last night). But now, the huge problem I have is really showing to me. Out of all these 17 dreams, 0 have control. Here is probably the make-up of the lucid dreams.
About 10 I have become lucid and not cared. I just went with the dream.
About 2 I have become lucid, and then forgot.
About 5 I have become lucid, attempted control, and got a FA, a real awakening, or failed.
I have no control. Here are some methods I tried:
Spinning: In my first two LD's this caused a fuzzy image to appear, than a false awakening and a loss of lucidity. The only other time I tried spinning was I think Lucid number 14 where it did nothing.
Hand Rubbing: Caused my head to hurt and then I got a false awakening.
Verbal Commands: This never does anything, except once where some guy was going to kill me and I managed to yell "REVERSE!" which kinda put the dream 5 seconds back in time. I woke up after it.
Believing in myself: No help either.
Ok so nothing worked. Last night, I become lucid after using the nose rc. At that time I was in the top floor bathroom of my house. So I walked out of the bathroom, and there was a red paper-airplane like thing. I stopped everything. I said to myself "This is my dream. This is my world. There is no reason why I should not be able to make this airplane fly forever." I threw it, it almost hit the door downstairs, then it did a full reverse turn, lit on fire, and fell (yeah wierd). I ran down the stairs, and tried to fly myself. Nothing happened (I didn't want to try jumping down the railing). I was going to go outside, but the door was locked. I stared at the window. I yelled "GLASS BREAK!" of course nothing. I saw a baseball bat and tried to break it, but then my dad came and yelled at me and I questioned whether this was a dream or not. I went to the living room and there was snow, so I knew I was still dreaming, but I didn't attempt any more control.
So yeah... any suggestions on how to even control little itty bitty things?
