      Post

      Hey all,

Been reading these forums as my bedtime story for couple months now, first post tho so sorry in advanced for the nub questions etc. Heres my story take a seat and check this out if you have the time.

So I was watching Simpsons and fell asleep to that (it was a nap i was taking). The next thing I know im lying in a bed not sure if im dreaming or not with a slight hint that I was in sleep paralysis (which i get alot). I finally suspected that I was, and I was seemingly able to switch in and out of the dream worlds with a simple thought. I wanted to wake in the dream world and proceeded to think really hard about that; i finally forced myself to get up not sure if i was indeed dreaming or not. My first test was trying to fly/float, i jumped, then floated gracefully to the floor. I was extremeley excited. I was careful to look at the details of what I saw. I remember telling myself "Wow this is like HighDef TV" I walked down a hall to the living room. I could hear the Simspons faintly in the background still. The first person I thought of to appear was my gf on the couch, but the second I pictured her things became fuzzy then dark. I woke.

The funny thing is the next day the same thing happened and I forced my self to get out of bed and do the floating test to see if I was dreaming. I fell to the ground this time, half expecting it. So then i told myself damnit im not dreaming this time, that kinda hurt, then i went to sleep in my dream. But crap... I just remebered now I was really dreaming DAMNIT, i tricked myself.

Also I was wondering are LDs just a remembrance of a thought or do you guys feel like you can really experience them, like do you guys ever feel in a dream you have a complete different thought process and in a way personality; is this just your subconcious personality?
Do a lot of people lucid dream this way, is there a method to induce sleep paralysis?
Does sleep paralysis really lead to a higher chance of having an LD?
How should I have gone about having a person there?
Should i have opend a door and expected them there, or spun around, etc?
Is there a better way to test myself than floating? (besides doing reality checks)
Is it possible to remember a dream but not remeber that it was lucid, like remember a great dream but not sure if you knew you were dreaming in the dream... if that makes any sense.
And most importantly, what do YOU kids think, questions? comments, anger needed to be vent, anything.

Sorry lotta questions are off tangent im just so excited that I got a LDed hehe... well 1.5 of them i guess
      Thx in advanced

nice work on ur first LD
Yeah you can use WILD to induce sleep paralisis
whats wrong with pinching your nose for a reality check it always works just hold ur nose and brethe in if u can brethe ur dreaming.
spinning isn't a very good technique for changing scenes and if you want to make a person appear you just good to expect them like when you turn around and they should be there
      hope that helps
