So I had my first LD a couple days ago.
It was interesting, because I had tried very hard to have an LD for a few days with no luck.
Then I decided I was pushing it too much and scaled back, and I had an LD that night!

It was extremely short, but here it is:

I was watching some sort of news program about a dog attack, and saw the dog in front of me.
I thought to myself, I bet that dog isn't really all that scary (I love dogs), and he transformed into
a cute little puppy! I knew it was a dream, and instantly I could feel myself perfectly!

Unfortunately, just a couple seconds after it happened, I felt like I was floating up and ended up in my bed.
I wasn't sure if it was a false awakening or not, but I felt like I couldn't get out of my sheets no matter how hard I tried.
Eventually I got up, though I'm not sure whether I had been dreaming the part in my bed or not.

Hi congratulations firstly on your first LD, This is common it happended to me when i had a false awakening i got up and walked to the corner of my room only to start floating when i reached the corner so i realised i was dreaming before i could do anything i was slowly descending back to the floor then i awoke in my bed.

You may of been too excited when you realised you were LD' in keep trying and remember try to remain calm.

      Stay Lucid

Heh yeah most people's first LD are very short. Don't worry, after the first one, you'll have lots more sooner !

Oh and yeah, for a lot of people if they've been trying real hard and they take a break, it comes naturally.

hey Congrats man Man you must have awoken with the Biggest smile ever and feeling like a Million Dollars right? Yeah I need to end my dryspell and wake up with that wonderfull feeling and memory again soon

PS: The excitement probably awoke you. It could also be that you simply only gained Lucidity a few minutes before awakening naturally: Happened to me alot cuz that's when my conciousness is slowly returning and I'm not awake yet either. The early morning; It's my Lucid Dreaming Prime Time

Yeah sounds like a short lucid dream followed by waking up in sleep paralysis. Nice Job!
