Using one of those eyemasks might help. It would put pressure over your eyelids to keep them pinned closed. |

i was woken up one night and as i woke up i rememberd to tell myself 'i am dreaming' as i fell back asleep. this worked as i became lucid but i became so excited i opened my eyes and saw parts of the bed sheet start breaking through the vision of my dream. i decided to close my eyes for a few minutes and then open again and that fixed it. but, after a few minutes, i tried to fly and as soon as i moved my eyes higher than the normal-straight-ahead position, they seemed to also open in the real world and i saw parts of my bed sheets. this discouraged me so i stopped flying. i've had this problem once before where i would somehow partially open my real eyes and see my girlfriends face next to me sleeping. that image would flash into my vision mixing with the dream world until i woke up completely. why cant i keep my eyes closed? does anyone else have this problem? thanks for the help |

Adopted Megabenman although he disappeared a while ago.
That happened to me when I was about to skydive off a cliff. |

I have been having the same problems with opening my eyes. While I have been able to have one to two lucid dreams a week, I always wake up from opening my eyes. |

You could try running your hand over your face, "wiping" away the double vision. Works for me. Although I'm starting to think that my eyes aren't really open, it's just the deam fooling with me. |

Oi dude... why dont you just go to sleep in a really dark room... then IF your eyes open you can't see anything anyway and you won't notise.. lol |

As waves of plastic fame go out of fashion, You're going out (going out) forever unknown. These waves of plastic fame go out of fashion, You're going out (going out) forever unknown.
From above a rain of ashes descends anathema. I will remain, forever will remain. From below, in my seclusion, look up to the sky to see See paper wings and watch them burn.
are you sure the air is not too dry in your room? that would make eyes prickle and open. |

Monkey Is BACK!
I always have a problem of opening my eyes too much in my dreams, and it causes them to open in real life. Its almost as if in my dream, I can see, but my eyes feel like they are closed, so I try to open them even more. That has ruined alot of Lucids for me, so im starting to learn to ignore that feeling... |

i don't know the words in english. |

Exactly. The pots full of water on the radioators is basically a humidifier. (some people are known to use DEhumidifiers in their homes in parts of the world that have high humidity, so its not so "damp" and hot feeling). So if the air is dry get a humidifier. It might be a bit loud (not too sure) but it might help keep your eyes shut. Also the masks over your face is another idea. Im sure even contacting your local eye doctor might give some advice. Hope this helps. |

I would put a folded towel, so it just covers your eyes, but not your nose, and not your entire forehead. What it around so your head is resting on it. This will put a light pressure on your eyes, discouraging them from opening. This will also block light, so you can LD when it is the morning or afternoon. |
