Dreaming When Awake

Hey All I was woundering if anybody had ever had a dream slept talk whilest asleap and then slept talk when awake but ur still asleap. In the way that you can hear what you are saying and doing but have no way of controlling it? Would this be classed as a form of Lucid Dreaming?

Hey Krisz, I would assume that you were just in a dream and you were maybe speaking in your dream without trying to. Not sure, maybe try to explain it a little better, and I'll get back to you.

Wow is that aclty possable? lol and yer I spose it would be becuase your still dreaming and you know it so its a Lucid Dream.

Its quite hard to explain but il be asleap and il start sleap talking ( or so my boyfriend tells me ) then im still in my dream but i can hear myself talk but theres nothing i can do to stop it. Like last nite i dreamt that my house was falling down and i remember trying to tell my boyfriend and get peed off with him cos he didnt believe me. ( because obviously im dreaming)

No not like day dreaming at all. Maybe it could be described as kind of out of body experience ( but that sounds dead corny) its annoying and i dont understand it at all.

I get that sometimes, usually when I say something forceful in my dream. My voice kind of sounds stronger and I know that I've said it aloud (I sleep talk a lot anyway). This doesn't make me realise I'm dreaming though, it's usually after I wake up that I can think back and "know".

I've dreamt while awake. not like what you are talking about. but i know i was in the waking world one night but everything appeared dreamy. objects would fade in and out!

I posted something like this in another thread, I think it's the same thing as what you're describing. My ex did it to me: Also one time she woke up from a dream that apparently I had been in, only she still thought she was in the dream. We were lying in bed, when suddenly she asks me some totally random question. I don't even remember what the question was. I was just like "........what???" And so she asked again. I was so completely confused, and the question was so weird, that all I manage again was "um...... what???" Then she got an annoyed tone in her voice and was like "Nevermind!" There was a few seconds of silence, then she suddenly turns back around and says, "Oh wait, I guess that was just a dream, because we were in a bunk bed..." [/b] As freaky as it is, I don't think it could be classified as "a form of lucid dreaming." Maybe a "form" of sleep walking or talking in your sleep, but lucidity doesn't seem to have much to do with it at all.

Thats excatly what iam trying to explain. Id quite like to find a way of controlling that. If possible

happens sometimes to me too. don't think you can do much, apart being ready to recognize incoerences that can make it clearer that you'r sleeping. and then - "in the middle" between sleep and wake, you could either go back to a deeper sleep or take time to wake completely. just talking. i almost never work it out. i end up just "knowing i'm not here nor there" and waiting it to go there or here .
