Please only take these polls if you have had at least one lucid dream lasting for more than three minutes.

I'd really like to see lot's of people take these polls as I'm very curious as to HOW difficult certain actions are while in an LD.

If you take one part of the poll I hope you'll continue on to the next parts as well. I'm not sure how many questions I'm going to ask.

I could fly rather easily by just leaping into the air, and then flying. I've never seen a mirror in my dreams, therefore i have never walked through one. It seems that i can conjure objects quite easily, several times i've conjured this dream sword of mine right into my hand while i had my eyes on it. Though i have not tried to conjure objects that many times, but i've had a 100% success rate at it. 'Fraid the same can't said for conjuring a dream character.

I usually close my eyes and hope for things to appear. Flying probably takes some seriously getting used to. For me i seriously have to be willing. I try not to just phsysically do it. When i think about it it becomes easier. Just like materializing. Its all based on a mental willingness level for me. Now its pretty easy to do anything. I never walked through a mirror though lol. But i have walked through a wall. And man.... teleportation is pretty hard too. NOW THATS COOL.... but hard to do. Like night crawler does.

flying easy for me. It just, happens =P

The first time I jumped through a mirror i thought about getting stuck right when I was halfway though XD

I've been able to get through other times but I still put that I got stuck.

Items, I think the item is there, it is and I snatch it up and start using it before my logic can protest.

i was able to fly in my first lucid dream but i did it in a wierd way. well, i guess it wasn't so wierd.

at first i tried to run and jump like i was superman, fisted closed and pointed towards the sky, but that didn't work. so i stopped and closed my eyes and imagined gavity fading slowly away. that seemed to work because when i opened my eyes i was off the ground.

then i was awoken by my alarm.

I flew in my first lucid, and I think once since. But, my first lucid was very vague, and it wasn't all that fantastic. If I can make a WILD come out in the next few weeks, I'll try to fly then.

I usually become lucid when I start to float around or when I jump way too high and gently float down. Long giant steps leading to floating leading to flying is my most popular one.

At that time, I am too engrossed into flying around to even think of trying anything else.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that has already taken my poll. . . and I hope that people continue to take it. I think the responses that are appearing are really interesting and sometimes quite unexpected.

making items is the easiest thing ever, the first one that i made was a gun and i did it easily...the largest one that i have ever made was a pyramid of giza...

Flying for my took a long time to master, but when i did it ruled...

walking through mirrors was easy too, it just felt like walking through a thin layer of water...

Wow. . . I thought flying would be one of the most difficult things to do but it seems that pretty much everybody that tries to do it is able to. I haven't tried to fly yet but if it's one of the easier things to accomplish maybe I'll try that the next time I have an LD. I just assumed it would be hard so I was saving it for once I've gotten better control.

Oddly enough, I get to fly around in my non-lucid dreams every few days, so that was no big deal.

I don't think I have ever even seen a mirror in any of my LDs, and most of my attempts to materialize items end in something entirely different being created, or nothing at all. I usually get too preoccupied with flying around or other things to worry about items much, so I don't get much practice either.

You know. . . I have never flown in a dream. EVER. Most people report this as being one of their most frequent dreams. I've never had a dream where I was falling, or naked, or my teeth were falling out either.

Most of these things were easy, but I've never tried walking through a mirror =P. Flying was just like peter pan, just jump up and levitate and then move around. Items I'd just wish to appear and they would.

I'm surprised how many people have never tried to walk through a mirror. I had read several things about it so I had assumed that most people would have tried it at some point.

For one, a high post count doesn't mean I've been around that long, and fyi.. Before I joined DV, I was on ld4all. I've been (non-)Lucid Dreaming for 9.5 months.

No, I still haven't had my first one.

That's true. . . I've only been here 10 days and this will be my 167th post. That says something about the amount of free time I have. . .

I was trying off and on for over 10 years with no success untill I joined DV so I know you must be frustrated.

I've never tried going through a mirror, but I've flown through walls and window several times without too much effort.

I don't think my lucid dreams have ever lasted so long. 3 minutes of dream time is a long time to me. However, recently my lucid dreams seem to get longer than before.

I will take the poll though

I can see why you'd be curious as to how hard things are, but it would also depend on how well the person, while in an LD, can remember things from 'the waking world' so that they would be compelled to try it. But I guess that's not really an important factor.

The flying thing was the best part of my 1st LD and has popped up in a couple of others.

Walking through a mirror? hmmm could be interesting. I would like to wak through a mirror and be inside another dimension or on another planet, watching ours from the other side.
I have walked through a brick wall in my last LD, something that i havent tried before. Weird thinking about it now, i was on the run and knew i could run through anything to get away but didn't care to look back and just face my chasers...next time, watch out suits!!

i've also had more LD's since coming to this site. I attribute it to constant exposure to these kind of topics and the assurance that it will always be possible ...and damn fun!
