Let me preface this by saying I had about 4 or 5 LD's where I became lucid, then instantly woke up. Then I had another LD where I kept trying to feel my sleeping body just because of the sheer novelty of having my consciousness separated from my physical body.

So the other night I finally had my first dream with real rock solid control, and now that I sit back and think on what was so different I realize what the main difference was.

The best way to describe it is that I was 'possessing' the dream version of myself in the dream. So I realized my dream body as being that, a dream body. This doesn't mean that I can't feel it, I certainly did pinch my nose and rub my hands and all that. However, I was aware that it was all made of dreamstuff rather than focusing on what was going on with my actual body.

As an aside I also followed normal social rules in my dream. For instance instead of going up to the first woman I see and ripping her clothes off, I became invisible and did it This way I was in a situation where my brain allowed the woman to react somewhat naturally. But I won't get into that here, check my post in the Lucid Experiences forum for that.

But does anyone else get in to the same frame of mind while LD'n ?
