Well, I think it's coming to me. I had my second lucid in 3 nights (new years was hard because I stayed up till 4) and this one lasted a lot longer than the last, but check this out- I couldn't fly! No matter how hard I tried. Here's the sad part though. I kept telling these adorable twins that I could, and they said "carry us!" so I deed, and be just falling. I was jumping off of things, we'd just hit the ground. (it hurt, too) I couldn't even jump high. I felt the full effects of gravity. I ate some delicious blueberry ego waffles though (which DON'T EXIST! HA!) And I told some guy about the method I used. It seems like every time I become lucid the dream restarts and I wake up in the dream. Hm. Both lucids have been in/near my house. I'm so stoked. Anyway, has any else ever ever had difficulty flying? People always say that's the first thing they do.It's a good thing it's not my RC. Oh! I kept using the finger through the hand one, even I only started using it today. Weird. It's a weird feeling though, because there is some resistance, but it still goes through. I span a bunch too. awesome.

Just relax with flying, it'll come in time. The important thing is that you were lucid right ;) After a few more lucids your control should get better and then you will hopefully be able to fly. Just stay positive and don't give up flying is amazing!

to fly all you need is to be able to believe you can. Now, you might think that you do but, theres a big differnce between trying to believe and truly beliveing. You must have no doubt in your mind.
Base your belief on the fact that so many have done it. It is blatently possible. Next time you LD, look up. You will be able to see the rest of us soaring with the clouds. Come join us, its not that hard. Anyone can do it.
If you still have trouble, visualize what you think it would be like. This helps break the mental barriers down.

The first time I try something new in a LD it comes naturally. It's the times after that it seems to get harder. So kinda similar to this.
I think the first time you do something you know it's going to happen, because you've never done it before. But after you've done it, it's like youre "too confident".
Kinda the backwards Matrix affect.. lol

I too had trouble flying when i first started having lucid dreams. I knew that i should be able to, but i was so grounded by my concepts of gravity and reality, i couldn't work out how.
Try to think of a way you can teach yourself how to fly. I did it by looking off into the distance and running, pacing myself, making my strides further and further apart, and feeling myself get lighter and lighter until i was flying.
I've also done it by feeling the air and then swimming through it. This one works really well especially if there is a stong breeze, just reach out and start swimming.
I hope these help :)
