What Is Easy And What Is Not?

ofcourse, you can do anything with lucidity. but being lucid doesnt grant total control over your dream. in terms of dream control, what did you find easy and what did you find hard? and why do you think somethings are difficult for you? or do you claim to be a lucid god with no difficulty at all? :bigteeth:

me and my friend both attempt flying and transformations in our lucid dreams. but our results are always different. I can fly easily, second nature if not first nature for me. However, transformation doesnt always give me what I wanted. Shes got transformation down to the teeth, literally. But flying for her is awkward and doesnt always work.

so here we are two dreamers using the same dream control but yielding different results. Why do you think that is? I know I've heard a thousand times that in a lucid dream you only need to believe that you can, but I think its a bit more complicated than that. For example, I REALLY love flying in dreams, more so than she does. And she is REALLY interested in transformation, outside of the dreaming. *shes a werewolf nut*

I found that I tend to take a 'role' in a dream as well, even if I am lucid. *my dreams tend to have a story attached to it* When I take this role I can use any of its abilities easily. When I try to use a skill outside of the role it becomes very difficult. For example, when I take the role of a dragon, I can use super strength, super speed, super flying, fire breath, ice breath, claws, and even a smashing tail. When I took the role of a ninja, I had no problem using martial arts, tossing shuriken, dodging, or even tossing chakra balls.

But in some lucid dreams, especially ones where I 'roll' out of bed, there is no role to play. The dream has no 'story' in it. I found that me, myself, and I without a role has only three skills that I can use effortlessly. Flying, walking through walls, and traveling through tiny places. I can use other skills without a role, but they require more effort!

why do you think that is?

I have complete control over my LDs without doing anything

Most things are pretty easy for me I haven't come across any difficulty. My strenghts always by far are the powers to Will. I have a hard time with changing weather and day to night vice versa events.

If you truely believe you can do something, you can do it.

Therefore the hardest things tend to be the things you believe won't happen.

Well, all I can say is WoW. I'd say that being lucid is not my problem, or dream recall, or control. However, since I am new to all the scientific tech. of lucid dreaming I never knew half of the techniques that I have read here in this forum and now in LaBerge books.

Your skills make me jealous. (sending good vibes your way) So what does this mean. From my point of view, I see you more as a LD god myself. I would love to role play the way that you do. Morphing into something else would totally rock. Personally, I would be a vampire. I am a vampire nut, but lycons rock too.

I started all of this a couple of years ago, alone without any instruction because I wanted to my sanity back, and I wanted to sleep. So I had no idea that what you have just described was even remotely possible until this forum or until I read post such as yours. Role playing, I would love to learn how to do this. I mean this has got to be way better then what I am doing right now. I think you rock! :)

My strengths are LD, DILD, MILD, and I am sure I WILD quite a bit, (I have dream precognition). Now, again, I do all of this in a world that seems so small to me still. I don't use the same techniques or seem to get the exact same results as I read here will sliding in and out of dreams. :?

Very well said. I totally agree with it. :)

I found its easyest if you cant see the thing first. like i cant conjure a mirror in front of me where i can see, but if i try to conjure it behind a closed door, then open the door it will be there. same with transforming, lets say i want to become a penguin, if i keep my eyes open i cant do it, if i close them then will it, then its easyer. If you have problems transforming then create a "Device" to do it. conjure somthing behind a door like calvin & hobbs's transforming machine...ill let you take it from there.

The easiest things, for me are to fly, breathe underwater, and make people appear from around corners when needed, I haven't really tried to do anything more than that, primarily because lately when I've become lucid I always become distracted and don't regain full lucidity until my dream is almost over, so I guess for now, staying focused is hard. (But overall, I haven't managed to tansform yet, maybe I still hold some doubt on that)

the only thing Ive been able to do is a magneto type move where I raised my hand and kinda flipped it and made a car rise and shoot off into the sky

I find flying very easy, but changing the environments I find very hard. I think it has to do with the realism of the dream. I had a successful WILD recently, it was a quite short lucid dream, but with mind blowing realism. I couldn't change the environments, because it seemed so real... if you know what I mean.

I agree with you . I remember when I had doubt in my lucid dream I would have to think 3 times before the action would take place. If you believe you can .

Though , don't ask why but personally I find flying to be really easy. But finding people on the other hand extreamly hard. Most of the time when I look for a certain person in my dream I can never find them in time.
