I have been experiencing a huge lack of control in my LD's latley, yet a immensely increaced vividness. This has made me wonder(while in my dream) if I am dreaming. or just in another world. This other world concept has been re-enforced of late, from dreams that continue similarly to were i left off before, and increaced reality. Such as not being able to do RC's at all, And increased feeling, pain, sence of touch, wind, and even sometimes heat from the sun. Any ideas? or simalar experiences?
I hear a lot of people say the more real the dream it is, the harder it is to do stuff. I think because there is a part of your mind that thinks it real so it makes stuff work how it would normally.
I don't know if I really believe in other worlds but I think if there are you should still be able to have some control. Atleast over yourself.

Welcome to my world ;)
To overcome the hurdles of an increasingly real dream I have integrated science and spirit. The more you know about something the more you can dissasemble it and play with it. Most of my dreams are incredibly real and I dont have god like abilities, for every action there is a reaction, to create requires energy, from you or channeled from another source but either way it still drains you. If the energy comes from you, there is only so much you can do untill yoru exhausted and have to recharge, if you channel it your like a Fuse, if you channel too much energy you start to heat up and the energy that can flwo through you starts to decrease if you continue to far you will "pop" and thats not a fun experience, oh you will know when your have gone too far, I was just dumb and didnt stop.
Its like physical exersice but its with your mind, you still burn calories and you get tired doing magical things.
Using scientific knowledge has even solidifed teh dream world more for me, it is no different than this place but I am empowered there, and have more energy at my command, as my personal resonance is much higher in frequency in the dream, as it should be with any of us.
But like alric said you should be in control of yourself.
Use that and build upon that, you may not be able to change the scene in your dream, or sculpt mounains but you may be able to travel some where either by foot, car, or my favorite By wing =D Work on your magical and psyonic abilities. You may learn to command the elements in time.
Think of yourself a comic book hero, you may not be a god, but you can sure have some incredible adventures once you learn what your ablities are, and you can expand and grow on them too.
That is the key, growth, you will learn alot about yourself.
Find out who you are.
And remember, Impossible is only that which has yet to be imagined.
Serinath you have a good point on the battery and exaughstion things. I feel like i get hit with a sack of glass when i wake up after these dreams...Im in control of myself just not extra normal stuff.....well umm yhea i just got distracted, but serinath you had a good point.
Nice statement Serinanth, you definately are a wise man. I do agree with Arlic also. I believe the more real the dream is, the harder it is for the brain to decipher between real and not-real.
I think that that may be true, but I know that its not real, yet I still can't make anything happen. This is primarily why I belive it could be another reality. As hard as I try, things do not just happen. Whats wierd is that its almost like the matrix I have to belive that I can do something in order to do it...... this is starting to creap me outQuote:

It's normal to have to believe that you are able to do something in order to do it, especially inside dreams. Lucid dreaming is based on forcing the subconcious part of your mind into believing that something is going to happen a certain way. Like flying, you have to force your self to believe that you have the ability to fly before you can actually do it.
I fought it for a while, trying to see it as just messed up dreams, that they werent real... and it didnt work, and I almost went nuts.
As I see it now, a real place with similarities to our world here, but the rules are different, like I said erlier, you can learn which ones to bend and break, taking it as a real world and applying science to it has incresed my abilities significantly. Probably because I have faith in science, and it gives me power.
you have to find what you beleive in and then use it to your advantage.
And the similiarites to the matrix type world are unnerving, I think that the matrix is actually a representation of the dream world.
I wanted to post this idea for a while:
Some people belive that our "reality" is real and not chaotic because *most* humanssee it that way. That's why you cant do something extraodinary.
Like I wish to push my hand through the mirror, but there's 6 billion people(consciousness/minds) who think I cant do it. And even some part of me thinks I cant .
Maybe same thing is with our dreams? Once I felt like I shared a dream with some people. It was *exeptionally* real. Up to the slightest detail.
But those people resisted my temptation to leave through the window, and said "We'll go out the front door".
But other times I'm completely alone in my dreams and I have *unbelivable* amount of power over *anything*...
maybe sometimes you are *alone* in a dream, and whole world is dominated by your mind, but other times you "share" dream world with other people ? And you share powers? like I belive I can pass through the window, and If my mind controls it, I can do it, but if not, I cant...
in my past lucid dreams i think i lack control also in some aspects
such as
i feel like i am kind of directed as to where to go but i get to choose what i want to do
like ill be inside without remembering the part of me thinking i want to go inside and see my friends but then when i get inside i have control over who i want to see

In order for you to move something telikinetically or pass your hand through an object in this world. You would have to first beleive it yourself, and then exert enough will to overcome all the others that doubt its possiblity. And also the will to expend on the actual movement or phasing of matter...
So in all there is an enourmous amount of energy needed to do this, and well we just dont have that kind of power.. yet ;)
And in the dream world, because the subconsious is in charge (mostly) there are much fewer doubts and such, some one ese said, that during a normal dream you can do anything without any reaction or energy requriement, but when you are lucid and consious that changed, you have to exert your will for it to work.
I belive its a little of both of what you said. I am finding more and more evidence that these dreams that I have are part of another reality, mainly because when i wild i can do whatever I wan't, and i could never do that before. Also I share the idea of collective thought inhibiting your actions. Perhaps in this other world people have different belifes for their reality and its not that we are bending the rules, but that we are adjusting our ideas and perceptions to their forms of reality. Im going to make a new post about something else i discovered while dreaming that i found quite interesting. lalalala i am now boredQuote:
