In most of my LDs it's night. I often try to change it to daytime cause it's easier to see.
Found it quite hard, especially with my low dream control.
Anyone's got a similar experience or can change the daytime easily?

Ah, I've had a similar experience once, but I overcame it by running under the cover of something, a building I think, and thought that it would be a nice, sunny day, and it did, easily.

Changing the time of day may be hard for you because you didn't believe it would work or maybe you didn't concentrate hard enough, practice might make it easier on you, but rather than changing night to day, since that hasn't come easily to you yet, why not summon up a flashlight or lantern? I used to do that when I found myself stuck in dark places, or I found a light switch (even in a cave wall XD).

Is it generally a good idea to concentrate hard to accomplish things?
Or is it better to try it in an easy and relaxed manner?

I'd say an easy and/or relaxed manner since if you concentrate too much, you risk waking yourself up. The only time I'd say that what I said should be an exception is when you are aware of your limits. But really, it's up to the person and how determined they are to master that skill, so if you're willing to risk waking up, concentrate, but if you've found an easier method (like those people who summon machines that say let them teleport to their ideal location instead of making it appear in front of you), go for it.

Thats interesting, I've never thought of changing the day/night time in a lucid before. It must so cool to see the sky change like that. I'd suggest you try materializing a door and imagining the other side to be day time and then open the door.

Definately relaxed, your mind will be more clearer and you will be able to concentrate alot more.

When I had my LD, my dream self woke up in bed and it was dark. I went to the outside door and said to myself 'when I go out it will be daytime' so I walked through the door and it was daytime!

Yell "More Light!" as loud as you can. This has worked for me.
