Flying in dreams is something that you ultimately have to just do. It's something that you have to pretty much figure out in the end. Different things work for different people. So, my advice would be to seriously try a multitude of things. I do a lot of things, when I want to fly. First, try crouching down really low and jumping into the air. Just keep ascending. Or, try simply thinking yourself in the air, by levitation.

You might also ask someone for a jet pack. Hey, it might work.

i flew in my first lucid dream, it was low level lucidity so i didn't control much bu i guess the best way too do it is imagine yourself flying and completely believe in yourself, know that you can do it, i'm going to try flying in future lucid dreams

I always imagine that there's engines in my feet that propel me around. Just experiment a bit and you'll find what's best for you.

Ok, time to set you people straight. Flying isn't just about the thought of it. How many of you can fly everytime? Now how many can fly without waking up? It's not easy, but it is fun. For starters, just think about hovering. With your dream self, just lift both legs at once. Instantly you shoud hover. Now that you have hovered look straight down. You will notice that the ground begins to get smaller and you go higher. Now for the important part..... either look straight ahead to move forward or look up to lower yourself. Make the motion slowly, or you will fall....OUCH!!! HOPE THAT HELPS

I usually throw myself off a high place. There is nothing that brings out your inner bird like the threat of imminent death!

That is what i would recommend too. Even though you are in a dream and know it (assuming you're Lucid), your instincts from real life still exist, and when you jump of a cliff/waterfall (what I did)/tall building your instincts say, "Holy Shit! I'm gonna die!". But your brain tries to find a solution to any problem it has, and since it's a dream and you can do anything, your brain will solve the problem by letting you fly. Just make sure you're in a dream first, you don't want to end up like smiley in a microwave here

There's also a tutorial on the subject with a huge list of ideas. (If you have any more ideas, let me know and I'll try to update it.)

Jump up and focus really hard on moving forwards or up. You have to focus really hard.

The planet Earth exhibits all of these properties and therefore can be considered alive and its own single organism by the scientific definition.

does the planet Earth reproduce, well no unless you count the moon.

a smart idea is to ask a dc to teach you how to fly, and fly with you

I would suggest transforming into a flying creature (dragon, bird, winnebago, exc.), or using a flying machine (anything from a skateboard to a train locomotive will do), but then again, these are only things I have not tried myself yet.

I would jump on the bandwagon with jumping down to fly--of course I'd suggest doing a dive off of a chair first. (God forbid something crazy might happen and you get messed up and think you're LD'ing and you're not!&#33 I like to do it Superman style. (Flying, that is....)

The first time I flew it was snowing outside, which was fun because I could feel snowflakes hitting my skin, as well as the wind against my face... It was awesome. Then, I tried to do some fancy stuff, fly between branches and speed up (I think I was doin' like... 20mph) and the more I concentrated on doing the stuff I wanted to, the more detatched I became. I lost the snowflake feeling, and then the wind, and then I zoomed out and lost my body. It just looked like a lame fight simulator, where the camera moves as if it's a plane, but you know there's not really a plane, or a body. Though, if I had to pick a vehicle, I think it would be a hot air baloon because by this point I was going very very slow. Then I woke up. So be sure to keep in touch with your senses and not get lost in trying to control your flight.

Happened to me again last night, i was marveling at the feel of my finger going through my palm... the way there is some resistence at first. It's like poking your finger through jello (these were my first few seconds of lucidity). Then I got to thinking about "wonder if my head has the same resistence as my palm" As I worked out the control to kick my foot through it, the dream lost lucidity. What a funny picture it was though, from the non lucid dream, my toes coming out of my ear.

Btw it took me five jumps before I stopped floating back down to the ground, don't give up too easily.

Transforming is a little hard, don't you think?!? Or at least to get a full transformation. I would suggest spawning wings. ITs a lot easier, plus a lot cooler!!!!

Even that sounds pretty hard for a bigginer who can't yet fly. Though a cool idea for a more experienced person, I don't think transforming/spawning wings is the best way to do it, as you may get dependant on it, and it is far more difficult than something simpler like jumping off a cliff or jumping up and missing the ground as you go down (which now i just remember is exactly how I flew the first time, I rembered the jumping off the cliff, and I just remembered the missing the ground because I got distracted by something now.)

In my totally useless opinion, flying is much easier than most other things in lucid dreams. You can just start running in one direction and then stop hitting the ground between strides. Of course, i haven't even mastered alcamy yet, so what do I know.

I just imagine the "zero-g" feeling you get when you drop quickly, and then just let go of the ground; I might also try imagining acceleration pulling me foreward.

If your a male then don't bother trying to fly as you would proberly end up looking for someone to have sex with in the dream instead.

Yeah, but you can find someone to have sex with faster if you fly.

Awe!!! You set yourself to low. Even the more advanced Lucid Dreamers have their problems!

For Flying these days I just summon a plane! It usually winds up being a really small one but it lets me control flight alot better!
