      Dream Skills

Are there certain aspects of dream control that you excel at, and others that you don't?

I just had my second lucid dream, so I don't know for sure, but so far I seem to be best at flying and transforming. However, when I tried to run through a wall, I bounced off it, and I can't do scenery change at all.

I find, that phasing through walls and teleportation is quite easy.

I find flying quite easy, though sometimes it's more of a giant arc upwards, followed by a slow fall.

One thing I also find very easy is stopping a scene I don't like, and changing it... making people disappear, etc. I still having occassional difficulty making objects appear that I want, though.

Flying is easy for me. I'm getting better at summoning. Before I began practicing lucid dreaming, I used to become lucid by phasing through glass. But as I become better at lucid dreaming, I'm finding it hard to do this. In a recent lucid, I tried going through glass and failed. I told mysefl that the glass isn't real; I should be able to go through. My hand thudded against the glass and I actually felt the pressure caused by it... Crazy.

I actually had success modifying my environment recently. It was too dark to see outside, so I clapped to turn the moon on. I continued clapping until the stars littered the sky and an vibrant orange ring of sunset embraced the horizon. I even made these pretty old-style lanterns light up on the sides of the street...

But I suck at teleportation, and I have no control over dream characters.

They only thing I'm really good at is making a setting for a good dream then kicking a lot of ass.

I'll invent some background story that applies to the world, like an evil corporation is collecting powerful stones to rule the world. I'll summon bad guys to fight and create special items like swords that can shoot fire. I'll say that I have some of the stones so I have super powers too.

I find it really, really hard to fly - I've been lucid dreaming almost a year and at most I can hover for a bit once or twice, but apart from that I can do almost anything easily, teleport, change environment, summon things anything.

Annoying really, as flying was the only thing I really wanted to do :/

Jump out of the window then just make sure its in a dream

For me flying is like swiming or running in the air or just really high jumps.
When I jump out of the window I end up swimimng in the air, when I just run and want to fly I run upwards, and when i want to fly or jump over something I just do it

I find flying really easy, I just have to jump and move up... To make people or objects appear I always have to look for them... What I have difficulty with is to maintain people or objects that I already found, cause they start vanishing after a little while!

While i find flying is easy, my main problem is waking up. If i get above rooftop level i almost always instantly wake up. Really annoying since i want to go soar around in the clouds

Aye, well I have tried that and just end up falling. It is quite fun though, as I just turn the ground the rubber and bounce along for a while which is a good laugh, but not really flying.

Phasing through walls is one of the hardest things I can do. I usually get stuck in the wall and everything goes black. Phasing through windows isnt much easier either. I usually break the window these days so I dont get stuck.

The last lucid dream I had I figured a way to solve the blackness thing. Patience. If I lie there and dont wake up fully I can get the scenery to come back. Takes a bit of concentration.

The easiest thing I can do in dreams is fly and break windows and walls. Ive flown a good few times so ive mastered it.

I have to say my favorite thing to do in lucid dreams is drive cars or motor bikes. Ive never had a vehicle in real life so its double the fun. Better than driving in real life because I dont have to stop at traffic lights and can play chicken with the other cars and get a destruction derby going if I want.

I dont even need to hotwire vehicles either i just put my foot on the peddle and start driving, no keys nothing. Probably the best dream ive ever had was one where I hopped on a motor bike and ripped it down the road and drove off the edge of a cliff.

My main problem is once I realize im dreaming it the dream starts to fade away and I start waking up. If I keep moving and half convince myself its a dream i can keep it going though. Thinking too much tends to wake me up.

I'm good at flying, summoning stuff, changing my environment/change location, floating, using elements and magic [and etc. on stuff like that], mind control, and that's all I can think of right now... I suck at transforming though, and maybe work on my phasing [sometimes I phase too far through things and say if I were phasing through the 3rd floor, might end up on the 1st instead of the 2nd] and need to work on actually a lot of things [my only issue with that is when I'm lucid I usually forget all my tasks I've set up for myself]

I found the easiest way to do it was to put my hand, or head against the wall and push gently, thinking of the wall like putty and it should start to bend inwards, just keep pushing and you'll be right through. To stop yourself getting stuck, you could put both hands in and pull them apart opening up the wall to walk through.
