So in my lucid dream I just had (WOOOO...amazing..) and all the others I have the ability to fly but it's like I can't control it fully. When I fly straight and want to go another direction I slide a little in the direction I was going before and take of slowly in the direction that I want to go until I build acceleration again. How can I improve this??
Practice, Practice, Practice. And remember, confidence is everything. Beleiving is seeing.
You must develop the expectation that flying is completely and totaly within your control and no one elses. The reason you couldn't really control where you went is because subconsciously, that's what you expected to happen. This time, try to fight that rather irritating mental block and truly believe you can control what happens.
Ask a DC to help. Or go to the flying school that happens to be on the corner

The more you do it, the easier it will come. Try asking a DC or your DG.
I would say try going to a high spot or a balcony, get a running start, and jump like you've never jumped before.
Try flying with a broomstick. Always works for me. OR, have wings sprout out of your back!! That's fun.
