      Schema

Recently i've found I can not do the most basic of tasks in a LD. I can do things like, run faster, fly, create things, move things (like for example in one of my dreams in order to stop someone from getting hurt, I stoped gravity for them...), even turn night into morning...

But the most basic of tasks I find trouble doing...its hard for me to talk, when lucid, its hard for me to phase through windows, which is odd, because I have phased through walls and doors before, I don't know why a clear window should be any different, oh well, I just broke through the window when I was sufficiently P.O.'d.

When in a dream I obviously know that I can do the things that I am not able to do, so why is it I find trouble in doing them? X.X I am afraid one day I'll be in a lucid dream that is a nightmare, and not be able to do anything about it.

Well, I don't know of any rhyme or reason, but some people just have difficulty with some tasks that other people find ridiculiously easy. Some people just can't seem to get the hang of flying, where others seem to have been born in the dream air.

I think that one of the main things would just be focus. If you want to walk, really know what it's like to just walk as you would in real life and project that onto your dream. If you want to phase through a window, you could try thinking that the window isn't even there, or just think of it as another wall or door.

How long have you been lucid dreaming? It could just been that you need some more practice. We don't always think about walking; we just do it. Don't worry about not being able to counter a nightmare as stress and apprehension usually just lead us to less sleep, lower recall, and/or less pleasant dreams. So, just relax and keep working at it and you'll be just fine.

I just really started active lucid dreaming when in June of this year. Although I have been a natural for most of my life, I just never really thought to try that hard for it. I did WILD before I even knew that lucid dreaming was a word X.X.

The other day though I was able to faze through a window, well it was a glass door, but still the same thing. I still have trouble talking in a lucid dream though, unless i'm shouting "1000% clarity" or something lol..
