Has anyone managed to freeze/speed up/slow down time in a dream? If you have, what is it like, and what do you do to control it? I think this would be fun to do and mess around with.

I personally haven't, but there have been a lot of threads about it. It's known that you can easily slow down or speed up the speed of events in your dream. The more... disputed idea is that you can slow down real time so that you can have a 1-year dream in one night.
But I think you're talking about the first one, which is definitely possible :D
I did it once, reversing time more specifically. I just focused on what I wanted to do, and associated a gesture to it, spinning my index fingers around each other if that makes any sense. Anyways, I basically saw everything happening in reverse that had already happened in the dream. The dream involved a lot of people falling from an altitude, so it was kind of interesting to see them floating back up. Also, kind of interestingly, I had a DC nearby who was a friend from RL, and he was unaffected by the time reversal and kept talking to me throughout.
I haven't even thought about it during my LDs since I was a little kid. There was something I loved to do and that was slow down time and mow everyones lawn in the town and get the money.... I know... I was weird. So I guess, yea, I've done it before. Just not in many years. Hopefully I remember to do this again, it can be fun.
Edit: It was just like moving super fast. ;)
I believe that you can make it so theres a time difference where your dream seem normal but your mind going faster to where your dreamseems longer but your just getting more done, like the episode of stargate and the black hole on the other side except the other way around...
Hmm. I think of it this way, from a relatively non-scientific/academic/educated standpoint: the world is as we perceive it. If we can make our brains perceive time to be slower, surely we can (just according to ourselves, cognitively) seem to live, or in this scenario, dream longer?
Seeing as we can tap into our unconscious in our dreams, maybe we could do that? On saying that, I recall that Freud or the like claimed that we only indirectly interface with the unconscious, hence the cryptically symbollic representations of it in our dreams, anyway.
well put...
As a kid I had a dream that felt like a VERY long time, maybe like 2 weeks or something and others where it felt like I only was in the dream for about 2 minutes but was hours.
open like a 3-d windows media player hologram and then just use your finger to control it
thx
