Dream Signs............
Okay, so I hear that you need to identify your dream signs while in your dreams to become lucid and say "okay, this is just a dream because this isn't normal"
So anyways. I seem to have trouble with that. Last night I had a dream Chuck Norris gave me his boot and I started taking pictures of him with is boot, (from walker texas ranger) his boot was also a telephone and a webcam. (later in the dream he called me on his boot from his other boot and I could see him through the screen on it)
So I thought this was perfectly normal in my dream... And I just kept dreaming and it got more and more weird.
Any suggestions on how to be more aware about weirdness in dreams?

Hey there,
Recognising dreamsigns is always tricky. The best practice I know is simply to be as aware of them during your waking life as possible. Analyse your dreams when you wake up, write down which dreamsigns appeared in it, write down which ones you missed (and which one you didn't miss if there are any). And keep repeating... ad infinitum :)
The thing is though, I've never heard of anyone who catches ALL their dreamsigns. There's so many of them, and the majority simply pass you by. Speaking from personal experience, I know my list of dreamsigns that I fail to catch is substantially larger then the dreamsigns that I do catch.
Anyways, don't be alarmed if you miss a dreamsign. I garantue you you'll be missing many many more :)

Heehee, that boot/phone thing is hilarious by the way. It's funny, but mostly I become lucid because of subtle things, and the outrageous things completely pass me by. (e.g. my blanket is the wrong color versus I'm trying to steal Hulk Hogan's mustache) A good way to get lucid is to do an RC when you pass through a door, so if you go through a door in a dream, you get lucid!

When you're awake, focus on the surreal and reality check when anything feels even slightly wrong.
