I don't believe in myself someimes (in LDs)

I know you need to believe in yourself to have anykind of control in a dream. I became lucid in this dream and decided to look out the window. I discovered instead of looking at my backyard I was looking out into space. I saw galaxies, and stars, and comets etc. I thought to myself wouldn't it be great if I went to the moon... but then I thought but I would die due to no oxygen. Then I decided to try to do a Kamehameha like in DBZ. Both of those would be impossible to do in waking life, but in a dream they both are possible but why didn't I believe I could go to the moon? I'm not new to dreaming I've breathed under water, created energy out of my hands, grew extra limbs, ran at super speed so fast I ran off the earth and into space, plus much more. So why did I limit myself like that. I remember I became so disapointed I woke up shortly afterwards. Any thoughts?

It happens because maybe certain memories like flying to the moon were retained as impossible...jusy my guess. I can fly with no difficulty but there was once in a lucid where I knew I could fly but I couldn't because of gravity... I think it's like U said self doubt...I was kinda doubtfull that night that I could have an lucid dream though..

It is very hard to gain full control. You are still in a subconsious state. Sometimes you think you woke up or the fact you know your dreaming just sways of your mind.

I knew I was dreaming b/c after I decided flying to the moon was out of the question I went to another room and blasted an energy beam out of both my hands.

You just needed to tell yourself that "I don't even need to breathe!" Anything is possible. Just make sure you re-assure yourself of the details if you begin to doubt yourself.

It just takes practice. With experience, the doubts subside.
