i have had 3 dreams where i haave been fully lucid but have not been able to fly or stop time etc. the most ive been able to do was make things like a turkey or car appear.
any tips?

For some reason, complete control just seems natural to me. I guess it's because I just realize that I really can do anything because there's no rules.
Just know that you really can do anything that your mind can think of. People say that some things are harder than others, for example, we have a basic and advanced monthly task. I think the only thing that makes them a little bit different is the level of creativity it takes. As long as your mind can think it, it can happen. Just know that much. :D
Maybe visualize doing certain things such as flying. Close your eyes and picture lifting up your hands and and flowing energy going down to your feet. Feel the air rushing past your face and being suspended in air.
There's nothing to doing anything. :D
Jdog, for those new to lucid dreaming, I advise that you don't try to set the lucid world on fire your first few dreams.. don't try to do too many tricks, summon people, etc. Simply go with the flow and take it all in. Get used to what being lucid FEELS like so you can ground yourself in your dreams.. that's when the tricks/stunts can happen.
Your first few dreams simply act like a tourist in a new place.. go sightseeing and take in all the different colors and sounds. You may try to increase your vividness by confidently declaring "increase lucidity" or "clarity now" but that would be the extent of control I would recommend for new dreamers.
I still have to remind myself the moment I become lucid to get "grounded" in my dream (i.e., make it as lucid as it could be) instead of immediately racing to do something before I lose lucidity.
One of the tricks I use to "ground" myself is to "touch" things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. (this also helps me remain in the dream longer).
Just remember that "the deeper the level of lucidity.. the better your lucid experience should be".
Stephent91 and Clairity are both right. Start with simple control tasks. Get the feeling of the dream by walking in this dream and touching the surrounding objects.
My advise to you would be to narrate your dream, i.e. talk to yourself while you are dreaming, saying things like : "I'm dreaming, I'm going there, I am touching this object…"
Only after you feel grounded in the dream may you start "ordering" things to happen in an imperative manner. Talking to yourself while dreaming helps : "Now I shall fly high ; now I shall walk through this wall…"
