Last night I thought about doing some reality checks in my dream, but I decided theres no point to even try because everything looked too real to be in a dream.. and the "dreamy feeling" wasnt there. Then I woke up right after the dream ended, and proceeded to curse at myself.
this ever happen to anyone else before?
Oh yeah. Lots of times. My dreams are SO vivid that I've made the same mistake as you. Once or twice I even did reality checks that failed, implying that I WAS dreaming, but the dream seemed so real that I didn't believe I could have been. I guess the best reality check is to see if you can float in the air or not, cause then there's no doubt that you're dreaming!

I don't get that "dreamy feeling" until after I become fully lucid. You aren't an idiot, your dream self is. Everyone's is.
