      FFA, Forcing False Awakenings

I've had one lucid false awakening that i remember, and i've got to stress that this was the most vivid lucid dream i've had yet. Everything was so vivid that I had to preform multiple reality checks, and walked everywhere because i had a hard time beliveing i was dreaming. Usually the thought occurs to me to fly everywhere, but this was so incredibly life like that i ended up walking. I remember being afraid to do anything, even after proving to myself several times that i was dreaming, because i would end up being awake. It didn't last long but it was by far the most life like lucid dream i've had yet.

I've been trying to induce another one, but i can't quite figure out how. I was wondering if anyone has the ability to do this, knows how, or has some advice. Feel free to post any false awakenings that you've had because i'd like to learn as much as possible about them. Thanks.

All I can think of is asking for one in a normal LD, willing it in a normal LD, or making a dream device to induce one in a normal LD.

Usually, If I close my eyes, it will result in an awakening. Maybe half the time, it is a false awakening.

Maybe that will work for you as well. Also, try opening your 'eyes' as widely as possible.

So could this be a reality check? Close your eyes to see if you force an FA?

Though I suppose if you expect it to fail, it will and you will never force one!

Well not necessarily.. my RC is holding my nose and trying to breathe, which I obviously never expect to happen. Yet I did it in a dream and I was able to breathe.

Oh by the way, I had one of those LDs where I kept walking around, making sure it was a dream. At one point I was at a staircase, and I wanted to fall down the stairs because it feels really weird in a dream.. but then I decided against it, just in case it was real and I was just having a brain freeze or something.
