Cool Who has the best dream control?

I thought I'd start a thread where everyone could state they're dream control experiences to figure out who has the best control! Let the battling begin!

Dream control is a fundamental part of lucid dreaming, and thats mainly why people pursue it so much. To be able to do something impossible to the real world is stunning and mesmerizing. Theres nothing stopping you in dreams; you can do whatever you want.

So, if you guys think its a good idea, just post what your most amazing feat was or just an experience you would like to share. This way, we always have a person to look up to.

Anyone who tells you they have perfect dream control is lying. Sometimes the things you attempt don't work, or have unexpected results.

I thought I was pretty good a flying, but last week I threw myself into the air and crashed onto the pavement, bruising and cutting myself rather badly. Man did it hurt.

I always get a kick reading about people who tried to phase through a wall and end up running into it face first.

In my first and ever lucid dream so far, i've had better than average dream control.

I could fly (albeit not for long, I landed) and I could summon things

But that could all go out the window (oh pun!), you never know!

I usually don't have full control, but when I can, I think the "hardest" thing I can do is to change my shape. I can turn myself into animals, even birds, and it's not even that hard for me. I've even turned myself into non existant beings, like one time where I dreamt that I was 3D modeling this creature that looked like a cross between an elephant and a tapir, it was black, with short back legs and longer front legs, and a long trunk. Then I turned myself into it, and had great fun wandering around picking apples with my trunk, and eating them.

Other than that, some of the things I pull off is walking through walls, levitate objects, make DCs appear, teleport myself, and if I'm lucid enough, I can design my surroundings. If I want to be in a city, I can "build" the tall buildings around me, and cars and DCs etc.

Well, we control our dreams by thinking of the action we're taking right? Well, what if we think the wrong thing, or don't know what to think. Thats why certain attributes of Dream control is difficult.

      Having perfect control...

Isn't control hindered by doubts and expectations? Say you want to breathe under water. If you get into the sea, before you start breathing, there might be a thought in the back of your mind.

"What if it doesn't work? What if I drown?"

It normally will happen. When you summon things, they are summoned because you expect them to appear. If you doubt it, it's like a second negative expectation. Either one will happen depending on which of the expectations is stronger.

Once, I think I had complete ABSOLUTE control. It was scary. Everything was black. I could summon things and do things with ease, but I had have to always keep a portion of my brain slightly focused on it.

Say I summon a gun. there's no ground. So I' have to make it float. But when I make it float, I forget about the magazine of the gun.

It disappears. So I make it appear again.

I need something to shoot at. I create a person.

      And the gun disappears.

I had to focus a bit of my mind on every single detail. Texture, color, sound, smell. It was annoying.

One day, she made a new friend. He liked the same bands, worried about the same subjects.
They decided to meet at the local mall. She went. So did he.
Only he wasn't in junior high.

I can fly, change my surroundings, and conjure things. Unfortunately whenever I create something new it's unstable for a while and out of focus, it stays that way until I forget to focus on something else.

I have turned incorporeal, turned night to day by saying "light be", possessed a DC, caused a tree to grow from nothing, and flown. I rarely take control in my dreams anymore, instead I prefer to act completely on instinct.

I summon, change my environment, fly, phase through stuff, mime (when summoning fails, miming prevails!), DC control, teleportation, and shapeshifting.

None of those are perfected. None are 100% reliable. Some I've only done once or twice. Others I can no longer do, or no longer try. Most are less than 50% reliable... Except flying (around 90% success rate). If I can't fly, it's most likely a low-level lucid. Miming also works around 90% of the time, only because I use it in emergency situations (car crashes, dream blindness, dream character intimidation).

It's just a treat to be lucid.

I can always fly in my lucids, I sometimes can control objects and I can get most DCs to do what I want. I think my control level is generally low, so I disqualify myself!

My control is all over the place.
Sometime I can throw fireballs, teleport, summon things, walk through walls etc perfectly with no effort.
Other times I struggle with them or can't do them at all.

The 2 things I can always do quite well and usually perfectly is flying and telekinesis. If i can't do them perfectly then I will have to do swimming motions to fly and objects will be kind of delayed and slow when moving them mentally.

One thing I haven't been able to achieve at all really is controlling dream characters. I can summon them alright, but they won't do what I tell them to. If I ask them something they reply completely off topic or give a useless answer, or if i ask them to do something they refuse. I'm going to put all my effort into correcting this in my next lucid.

Some things I haven't tried is changing my own body and things like that. I'd probably have problems with them as I can't imagine myself being able to do them, and that thought alone will probably prevent it With more lucid practice I'm sure I'll be able to though. I'm still having trouble becoming lucid as often as I'd like.

I've had dreams were I can't seem to control anything, and I've had dreams where I can control almost every action that takes place.

Like this morning I was able to make iron bars come out of random places in the ground, I made it lighter outside, sponed a bike and flew around on it.

sometimes if i'm having trouble making something happen i can find a way to "cheat the system". the other night i had a glass of milk but i was really jonesing for a cup of coffee. after repeatedly trying and failing to transform the milk into coffee i finally grabbed a DC and demanded that they go and get me some coffee. it worked like a charm. the coffee came back not quite as hot as i would have liked so i told the same DC to nuke it for 45 seconds.

LOL nope, I donnot drive in waking life, but I have the feeling how it's done from actually sitting on the passenger seat many times and observing. I once got into the driver's seat and grabbed hold of the steering wheel and started feeling the brakes and gas pedal on my feet. Now in my dreams I can drive, but every time I drive for a few miles, the car turns into a bicycle. That's pretty annoying now because I want to keep driving that exact car

Well.... I've changed day to night before, sometimes it's kinda easy, other times I just can't.

I've moved clouds around in the sky, and lowered/ raised the light as I saw fit.

I changed the color of the stars once, I was changing them blue, red, green, yellow, pink, purple.

I've floated a DC into a tree. (a little girl, I just felt like it)

I traveled through time, but I went back to the year 3200 B.C....

I changed a nail into a sword while fighting someone in a field.

I've thrown a lot of fireballs. Sometimes they work (I destroyed a section of a town, obliterated a whole group of zombies, took down Godzilla and destroyed an area of trees) and others they don't (nothing happens, the ball doesn't do anything).

Created a T - Rex, which then tried to kill me.

Flown on a book over people's heads.

Caught a ghost with both hands.

      Used lions as missiles.

      That's all I can remember.

I wish I had good dream control, mine sucks really bad, and is funny sometimes.

I once tried to fly and when I got to power line hight, and a dc threw dog toys at me until I fell from the sky. I'm going to make a thread for experiences when dream control goes bad. That would be funny to watch somebody try to phase through a wall and hit their head.
