I was in this dream in which I was sitting on the floor doing something strange that I can't exactly remember when all of the sudden I thought why would I be doing this unless I was dreaming? Then I stood up and asked myself- " I am dreaming?" Then all I could do was yell "I'm Lucid!" a bunch of times until I woke up. This is my first lucid dream ever even though it is kind of short lol But I'm not sure how to calm myself down once I get to this point. Any help?
That's what most people's first lucid dreams are like. Just get more of them. You're excited because it's brand new, once you have a few that eureka moment isn't so great and you don't all of a sudden get excited.

Oh, slow down your breathing. Your heart rate is connected to your breath rate, both of which are connected to your real body. If you breath hard or have a high heart rate in your dream then you will wake up.
Oh yeah, the thing that happens to everyone in their first LD.
Just stay calm and get your bearings.
