      uncontrollable things in lucid state

when in the lucid state are there any objects/creatures that are uncontrollable, no matter what you want or how hard you try to control then, whether experienced or not? I haven't obtained lucidity yet but i think that this would be useful information in controlling my dreams

You can control anything in a lucid dream, because it's your own world and all in your head. But it's possible not to be able to control something in a lucid dream if your inexperienced (like myself ).

      It was kinda funny...
There is nothing outside of your control, but people often find themselves in situations where the attempt to control something and fail. Doesn't mean it's not possible though. Probably means you're doubting that you can do it. I tried showing someone that I could fly in an LD and jumped three times and failed. Then I said to myself "this is ridiculous" jumped up and launched off and flew with the birds at great speed. Its just like the Matrix. Once you realize you're limitless, you become Neo. You can stop bullets. You can fly like superman. You can be a tree.

Well basically... your control of a dream is equal to your willpower (control=willpower) Damn that's a sick formula

Actually someone here on dreamviews wrote about becoming a tree in a LD, and it's been my personal goal to experience this for over a year. I've always wanted to know what it's like to be a life form like that. But I have yet to do it.

A lot of things require specific mindset/knowledge/practice to control.

So, you may not be able to control something in this particular dream, but you may do it in future...

Hey, speaking of trees, anyone read that book called, "The...the...Magician's Wife.." or something? Well it's by Sharon Shinn. It's THE SOMETHING WIFE. Well anyway, a character in there becomes a tree!! And he describes it SOOO vividly... maybe you can read that part and that will help you next time you LD.

Edit: THE SHAPECHANGER'S WIFE!!! Yaaay I remembered, go me.

You can do pretty much anything you want. Some times something wont work right away, the way you expect it to but you can normally over come it. Some times you just got to stop and think about it for a moment.

The Shapechangers wife? SOunds like a good read. I'll have to find that. A good description may be just what I need. I can read the passage before I go to bed every night and see where it takes me. Thanks for that.

Yeah but the elf person couldn't overpower the "thwargs" because he didn't have enough will power. At first he probably didn't take them seriously so they just killed him so he was afraid of them so this lowered his confidence, every time they beat him, he had less will to beat them, get it?

you being able to fly and all but what does that have to do with it hurting, and one morething when youre having a lucid dream, are you from the first person prespective like you are when your awake? or is it a third person prespective like your watching yourself

Most of the time it's first person (for me), but if you wanted you could make it third person. If the dream was third person to start with you'll probably become a ghost character or watch yourself do what you want, but you can make it go to first person if you want. Pain in dreams only seems to happen when it is very vivid, so if you were to have a high level lucidity dream (you'd have to make it that way) it would be so realistic that pain woulkd be created aswell. Even then, some people just don't have pain in dreams.

I've had pain in my dreams. It happened last while I was having an insanely long LD and the pain totally surprised me. I was barefoot and jumped on water and tried sliding accross. It worked for 2 seconds then I broke through the surface and stepped on jagged rocks. Ouch! Anyways, the pain didn't bother me for more than 2 seconds, but it left me cautious of my steps.
