      OBE easy

I've only done this once, and i aim to try it out a few more times as well. Some other people try this out because it seemed pretty easy to have an OBE.

It was a normal dream, and like some other common nightmares i was being chased. All of the sudden i realized i was dreaming and took off into the air. The chasers were below me watching, and idea popped into my head. I hung in mid air over the chasers, and just like nothing i pulled my body away from myself, and held it in my arms, then i dropped it for the chasers. Now as far as i could tell i was just floating, my body(which seemed to have turned to rubber) was down below me, and i took off. I flew though the city for a while, it felt great and i woke up feeling really good and energized, a great way to start the day.

      but it's not a real OBE. :/

That's still a dream, and everything within a dream is a dream.. :/

real OBE is when you are pulled out of ur body by some force, and supposedly you stay on primary or epheric plane

Yes, it was a dream. I often feel being pulled out of my body while being in bed and I know it is dream. It's a strange sensation but it's still a dream. If you think you have an OBE, just do a reality check. Look around carefully, read some stuff... you'll soon find a dreamsign.

There is the possibility that an OBE can be a dream however.
Some think that all OBE's are really dreams too.

I, like Laberge, say that one should do reality checks...

I've had involuntary astral projections throughout my life and believe me there is nothing dreamlike about them!! You are completely awake during them. As much as you are awake right now, and your senses are very heightend. It is nothing like a dream or lucid dream. It is a very REAL experience. Everything exists just as it does now. For example you'd see your bedroom exactly as it is, only you can also see each objects aura (heightened senses). It is this reality yet you have access to it on different dimensional levels, (if that makes sense.)

There is the possibility that you've experienced another type of projection, such as etheric. But when you have an astral projection where your astral body actually leaves the physical, believe me you know.

Ive had both Lucid Dreams and OBE's. Its hard to tell what is what. But ive managed sometimes to use a lucid dream as a launching pad for an OBE.
All i said was. "Get out my mind". And then see myself rushing away from my sleeping body beneath me.
Try a time and see what happens.

Sounds like it could be your dreaming and are just having a very vivid realistic dream, astral projection doesn't happen in real time, you can't project your astral body and watch someone in the next room as it is happening, it's just what you remember or think that thats what is happening. I dunno I have never had one, but I know that astral projection does not allow you to see into the future or in real time so it sounds like another natural wonder of your brain.

I see my body below me, and a cord running from my body to me. I think to the back of my head because I can feel a slight pressure pulling the back of the head. Once I leave the immediate area of my physical body, the pressure decreases. Not only do I see in real time, but from a different perspective. I can see the auras of every object in the room. I hear noises that I don't normally hear. (Buzzing/Humming) I can travel to any plane/dimension that I will. It all feels like real time. I've seen other people in what I think are the astral realms. Though I don't think that all of them realize that they have projected. (Since everyone projects at some point during the night for their energies to recharge. Even if it's only an inch or so out of alignment to the physical body and not a full projection.) There are different gatherings of people. Some are more centered on lower tendancies, such as sexual encounters, and others seem to gravitate towards centers of higher learning.
Although you can move by will, and create any object by thought, I have always been totally conscious while doing so. I believe that you can move from dream to full projection but at that moment (if it lasts) you become more than lucid. You become aware/awake. But it is scary because you can indeed see the good and bad intentioned people. You run into both kinds.

Oh ok I had a totally warped view of what astral projection is, for some reason I thought it was people saying you floated around and looked at people in real life on the physical plane

Now I get it, I am reading up on it, it seems pretty hard, at least harder than a WILD, which I just sucessfully completed my first one today

Yeah, it can be a pretty scary experience. Most people panic first and then end up right back in their bodies. Fear is often the biggest obstacle to conquer for a projection. But I think if you can somewhat master Lucid Dreams first it could make the experience much better. Only in that you move and create the same as you would in a dream. I was doing this long before I could Lucid Dream, so I was always terrified of the experiences. I couldn't figure out how to move around, or why things I thought of (usually fears) suddenly appeared before me. Plus they were involuntary so I never knew when they were going to happen. Now I'm used to them although I still can't produce them at will. I have tried through dreams but have not been able to produce the same effect.

I've been pulled from my body before when doing WILD, and i was pretty scared. I thought that i might have died in my sleep, because my sleeping body was still below me. I went along with it anyway, even though the whole time i thought i might have died.

The WILD technique used in this forum for Lucid Dreaming is also the same technique that many people use to induce Astral Projection. So it's no wonder that so many of you using this technique show the beginning stages of astral projection. It's a very difficult technique to master so it is a victory you should be celebrating. Most people can't hold that state and fall asleep. So bravo!!! It's a sign you are indeed making progress!!
