Thread: DreamBoarding

I never wreck when I am doing anyting like skateboarding or motorcyle stunting. I always land the trick I want and it feels great.
Only one time was I injured in a non lucid dream from a motorcyle, I witnessed a crash and then all of a sudden I took the place of the rider and had a broke arm. It hurt bad.

Look at all those double blacks! Skiing is my favorite sport. What a thrill it would be.

looks fun, maybe i'll try it tonight. i've only ever surfed in dreams and thats sweet so maybe i'll try snowboarding.

My favorite dreams are snowboarding dreams. I haven't had a lucid one yet, but in them there are tons of jumps and I always get insane air time off of them and bust out crazy shit that I wouldn't even dare to try in real life. If I were lucid, maybe I'd be able to get more than one run in before the dream changes The ones that suck are when I'm trying to strap my feet in the bindings but keep sliding down the mountain and never end up getting strapped in, but instead just go all the way down the mountain just trying to.

my first really really vivid lucid i dreamboarded!! i agree it IS the shit. i was snowboarding exept i made the terrain i was riding. it was just a huge terrain park that was flat (exept for the features). i didnt need an actual slope, cuz i would just make myself go as fast as i wanted! =p it was great.. i was hittin misty fives off of kickers that were only like 10 feet tall. i loved it. i highly recommend it to anyone who hasnt experienced it...

I'll have to try this when I've saved enough to get that hover board.

Hope you all enjoyed that mountain. it had some crazy shit double black diamonds on the north face, and U could have got into some crazy dream shit out there. I Hope everyone now sees why dreamboarding is an awesome thing, so here is another sweet mountain with a tight halfpipe right down the middle. put together some tight strings down there, and maybe you'll know how to do it in real life too! (You won't though.) Stratton was a mountain I loved to go to when I was younger and lived in connecticut. I reccommend just taking the easy way down once, for a scenic dreamboarding easygoing slide where any crazy dream shit could happen. WARNING - I left the leopard cage open so theres leopards all over this mountain. GIANT PISSED OFF LEOPARDS. If you choose to go dreamboarding on this mountain watch out for the GIANT PISSED OFF LEOPARDS.

im taking the giant pissed off leapards back to the mountain with the DC parks. haha ima try doin some flips over some of em... and maybe going off a kicker and then jibbing on a leapard. hahaha maybe ill just use a jump to get ontop of one, and tame him to snowboard while im riding him!!!! THAT WOULD BE SICKKKK!!! imagine riding a GIANT ASS leapard, while he was skiing down a GIANT-ER ASS MOUNTAIN!!!! hahaha i hope i dream about it...

Sounds awesome man, definitely have to give it a go. I read that practising anything in your dreams does improve those actions in reality. It's like visualising a basketball shot, then practising it a couple of times. There was a test done where three groups of people were each given a different method for shooting basketballs. One group just kept on shooting, the other group visualised the shot then practised and the third group just visualised then shot. Group two that visualised then practised did the best.

There was also this doctor in the states somewhere who used to practise his surgeries in his dreams and he claimed that afterwards he could do his surgeries 40% faster than his colleagues. Pretty trippy shit.

Other people solve maths equations in their LD. I reckon you would definitely improve. I'm going to start practising something as see how it go's.

thats pretty interesting about that doctor thing... probably helped him so much because operations are series of procedures, not just one thing to do.. it probably helped him think through it fast and correct...

Sweet. I am suprised that I never thought to snowboard in a LD. Whenever I snowboard in a non-lucid I get varied results. Sometimes I land sick shit. But then in my last one I couldn't turn and I could not see more than like 3 feet in front of my face. So I would just torpedo down and fall. But I am sure it will be awesome in a LD. Great idea.

Metronome, I see you are from Ohio. And if it is anything like Illinois and Wisconsin, I'm sure you suffer from some Midwest mountain blues. But I guess it makes it that much better when you go west or to the northeast.

Edit: I tried it last night. It took me awhile to get my boots on. They had strange straps and I had to strap my boots above my knee. Then I had to drive to a mountain and get my board on. Then I started down the mounthain. I WOKE UP. jfoiewaohaewgeaowighsljkgnweaojgew;eh;oiuewh

In case you couldn't tell, I don't have good enough control to teleport up there and have my stuff on. But once again, jfoiesoighea;jewo;imhewj;.

you shouldnt fuck around with all the preparation shit. lucid dreams are short enough without having to go up the ski lift and strap into your boots. just close your eyes as soon as you become lucid, and imagine yoursel ontop of the mountain, strapped up and ready to roll. then you'll be there. easy as making pop tarts.

Oh, and if you're dream control isn't that good, you ought to watch out for the leopards.

Yeah it was weird. I gave up on the forced control really quickly. I wanted to try this so I gave up and did it the old fashioned way. I should have tried some more passive control because that usually works for me. I even accidentally did it once to get my snowboard. I wasn't thinking. Damn not fully conscious states.

I forgot about the leopards when I was there. Maybe they will help push me to get ready faster.
