My WILD experience.
So I just had my first WILD/MILD on my second try. I was in a blank room/hallway, and I opened the door at the end and walked into my living room. The problem was that I couldn't -stop- flying. I had to will myself to stay on the ground. So after walking around for a little bit, I felt myself slipping, and I panicked. I tried in vain to hold on to my dream, but I woke up to my husband waking me up from my nap. So he was waking me up and I was just about to get out of bed, then I really woke up and I was in my bed, drooling.
So that's the first time ever in my 21 years of being on this earth that I've had a false awakening in a dream. How messed up is that? The first time I have a WILD and I have a false awakening a few minutes into it.
I'll have better luck next time, eh?
So is it weird to be flying/levitating from the get-go? Also, while I was dreaming I was moving my arms around and touching things, and the tactile and motor sensation was very real, but at the same time I could feel myself in bed. Is this normal?

 Nice WILD! I often fly or float almost constantly in my dreams. Often I have to think to make it stop.
I suspect the reason you could still feel your body in bed is because the dream had just started. It is pretty common at the begining of WILDs. When you stay in a WILD longer it becomes more stable and you no longer feel your body in bed.
As you get better you will have much longer WILDs!

I good thing to do is that if you are in a lucid dream and know you are waking up, stay perfectly still. This will allow you to try and WILD again and it normally only takes seconds.
Good job and good luck ;D

Very very interresting. Congrats. I myself am also getting closer and closer to a succesfull WILD. Could you perhaps tell us how you experienced going from awake into the Dream state?
Namely that's where I got stuck last time. In transitionphase.
