      Prolong dreams, increase clarity

A few of my last lucid dreams have been somewhat unimpressive. The moment i gain lucidity everything seems to dim, so i decided to do something about it. Last night followed the same routine, the dream began to dim and fade, so i sat down on the leather chair and looked closely at it, so close that the chair was the only thing in my focus. I looked at the paterns and felt it, and when i looked away everything was clear as the waking world. I think that if your looking at too many details in a dream, your mind has trouble with clarity, so that may be why focusing on one particular object for a few seconds helps. It helped me out so give it a try.

What you've said makes alot of sense. I had a WILD yesterday and the LD was only semi-lucid and didn't feel very real at all. I remember one part where I picked up a large goldfish out of a pond and held it and studied it and talked to it. That part of my dream was very clear, but when I put the fish back down and continued to walk around things lost their lucidity once again. So next time I'll try concentrating more on certain things instead of trying to take everything in at once.

Now if only I could remember what that fish said to me...

To increace clairty just shout really loud WITH expectations that it will work "Increase clarity NOW!" or "increase vividness NOW".. etc etc.

To prolong dreams...well i've heard that if the dream is ending then you should start spinning or rub your hands together and empahsize on the touching. I've also heard that you should focus on an object in your dream. I've only tried the spinning and that always led me to a different dream, which is my weakness in LD because when i do..i always lose Lucidity in that dream.

yes concentrating on a single detail will help clear up the dream. the idea of to much stuff to the dreaming mind could fade out and you could wake up that is why i think text and numbers change so much
you can't do that on the internet!.... wait yes you can do it again!

      Yea !
I find it doesn't help much to prolong the dream if u just sit and stare at something... maybe a bit.... but i find the spinning is a hundred times more effective...

But defintly makes things more clear, like i've got right close up to walls, it' looks sooooo real, u can like see every little pore
      amazing..
so, maybe just start off focusing on the small things and then gradually adapt to bigger atmospheres..
ye know what i mean ?
It's like a kitten who's been inside his whole life....
one day he escapes and gets outdoors..
there's no possible way, he can understand that whole new world in a few minutes.. hours.. or even days....
he's got hang out around the house for a bit.. check things out... . .then move on
      hahah
They say dreaming is dead and noone does it anymore. It's not dead, it's just been forgotten, removed from our language. Nobody teaches it, so nobody knows it exists. .. waking life

i tried yelling really loud "increase clarity" and the clarity partially increased, the thing that happened was that i started to fly once i yelled out the command, i guess i yelled so loud that i propelled my self up

but definitely i will try out your suggestion of looking at an object really close, that should help. thanks alot
